Zara liked coming to the water room with Felipe. It reminded her of their first date, and for her it was a place of calm. She tugged his hand, pulling him into the room for a date night, finding it was yet another variation on a beautiful beach. This one had the added bonus of a hammock slung between two palm trees.
“Ooh!” she grinned, sitting on it and swinging herself gently. “Looks like we can make out without getting too sandy,” she grinned.
Felipe grinned and followed Zara allonging, happy to be pulled into whatever sort of whirlwind she had in mind. The fact that making out was on the agenda meant that it was going to be a great time. He liked doing other things too but making out was definitely one of his favorites and date nights on the beach were meant for exactly the sort of magic that happened when they got close to each other. There was skin and mouths and more skin and hands and more skin and feelings and weird body stuff but it was his favorite. So far, based on the fact that Zara kept doing said stuff with him, he was pretty sure he didn't suck at it which was great. He joined her on the hammock, wrapping his arms around her and pulling them inside so they were cocooned up against each other.
"You're beautiful," he told her, kissing her forehead and the end of her nose before graduating to pressing his lips against hers. "Is that okay?" he confirmed, pulling back abruptly. He'd been doing that more often since they'd returned from the previous summer break. Every time he thought he could safely assume that Zara was consenting to such things, his mind turned towards horrible memories that he'd rather not call up while trying to get kisses and snuggles. "I'm sorry, I-- I'm sorry," he murmured.
She was beautiful. She was being kissed. Zara liked both of these things and had no objections. It was sort of one of the benefits of swim dates and why she kept coming on them… It was basically socially acceptable that they were going to strip down to what amounted to underwear, and because swimming was on the cards, it was less weird. When their hands were on each other, and their mouths were moving together, she thought it was also a lot easier to block out all of the things that both of them didn’t want to think about.
Though, apparently, Felipe could still find space to worry.
“What for?” she checked, when he pulled away, apologising.
"For worrying? For asking too much? I'm not sure," Felipe replied. "For apologizing too much?" He added the last with a wry smile, suspecting that was the thing that bothered Zara most. "I just always want to be extra sure you're okay with what I do before I do it."
