Quidditch schedule by DH Skies

Hi all,

Here is a note of the weeks that Quidditch things are due/happening. Sorry that owls didn't go out - Juliet joined us last year after this point in the term, and we forgot to remind her as we've been busy with other changes to the start of term as well as RL things.

The owls would have confirmed who the captains are, and recommended the next oldest player as AQC. If any player isn't passing the title along in this way, please take it up IC with Coach Grase, as this is what the letters always ask, and so that other authors understand the reasons why.

7th October - sign ups
21st October - try outs
4th November - rosters due on OOC board
11th November - game 1

...is now posted in MARS. Don't worry if your posts don't seem super long, if they're even only 200 words that's okay! I hope there will be a lot of back and forth and discussion so that this club can really be a club of the people :)

THE LIBRARY NEEDS YOUR HELP by Librarian Nicchi

Points will go to those who sign up but the more helpers we get, the better the year will go for everyone! Sign ups will remain available until next weekend.

I hope to see more names on the list!

Thank you!

Pecari try-outs are up! by Capt. Joella Curtis

Sorry about the delay - I was waiting for approval from Sammy's author without realising she'd already given it, my mistake. Should probably have put a OOC note at the end of the post to say that mentions of Sammy were approved by her author.

Quidditch end time by DH Skies

Hi guys,

Apparently there was some debate last time when the end of the match was announced, so to clarify...

Quidditch matches are two weeks long. This match went up at (site time) 21.50 on a Saturday. It will therefore end at 21.50 (site time) this Saturday. I know we have a lot of people in a lot of different time zones and for some, a match will end in the middle of the night/working hours/whatever. However, matches are two weeks and over the course of that time, everyone's waking/sleeping/working time averages out.

If there is something I'm not understanding, where a particular timezone is placed at a disadvantage by this system, then let me know.
