Hello, Professor Skies by Alexander Pierce
Alexander knocked tentatively on his Head of House’s office door, taking a look down the exterior corridor in both directions to make sure again that nobody was near enough to see him go in. He almost hoped she didn’t answer, but she did and he entered when invited to do so.He looked tired, and he was. He hadn’t slept well at all in the three nights since he arrived at Sonora. The last two hadn’t been as bad as the first. He’d slept a little, but not well and not long. He couldn’t keep up like this and that was why he was here. The approaching night filled him with more dread than hope of rest and he was smart enough to know when he needed help.
“Hello, Professor Skies,” he greeted politely. “I’m having trouble sleeping. My room is too quiet at night. Can you put an enchantment on it to give me some white noise during curfew hours?”

Selina was trying not to prejudge any students based on who their parents were, though she couldn't help but think the Pierce twins might be a force to be reckoned with. She therefore braced when Alexander entered her office.He looked tired, and identified that himself as the issue. Not only that, but he had a perfectly reasonable solution too. That made her job much easier.
"Certainly, I can do that," she agreed. "It can be a big adjustment, coming to school," she added to invite further conversation if he wished it.

“Thank you,” he said, politely but tiredly when she agreed to his request, but he shook his head when she guessed at the cause of his sleeplessness. “It’s not the school. It’s Nicholas being in a different House. We anticipated it as a possible problem, but I hadn’t really believed it would happen.”

Selina had guessed that might be the problem, and had been using 'adjusting to school' as a broad euphemism. Still, it was good to have it confirmed.She didn't try to tell Alexander that she understood. She didn't. She had never had a twin, and most of her siblings had been in her house. She didn't say it would do him good in the long run, even though she suspected that was true.
"That must be tough," she said.
