It's the end of the world by Giselle Duell

Oh no. Oh no no no. That wasn't possible, that just wasn't possible. Giselle pushed her cards aside. They had to be wrong, they just had to be. Was this it? Was this what her prophesy had been trying to warn her about? She had thought it had something to do with the school, but has she been wrong? There had to be a mistake, a big one. This just couldn't be.

Giselle stood from her desk and cast her wand about until the she found what she was looking for. Picking the bag up off of the shelf, she tossed the chicken bones within out onto the table desk nearest to her and prayed to whatever powers that existed that they would clear up the misunderstanding that had arisen from the cards. She scanned them warily and recoiled as they only confirmed what lay in store. No!

How could this have happened without her knowing about it? The astrolabe! Maybe there was hope yet, maybe.... She worked the device for long minutes, following the variations in the magical resonances caused by celestial alignments. It was all there... this was it. This new power full of bad darkness. It was upon them. Giselle sank into her chair once more in defeat. There would be another Trevear.
