OOC: Resolution of Billy's thread discussed with Billy's author. BIC:
Heinrich had left Billy on the pitch, as the first year had expressed a distaste for returning indoors, with instructions to let Hilda know he'd be back as soon as he finished reporting the incident with Mr. Stones to Professor Wright. He moved quickly through the school, his long legs making short work of the distance between the Pitch and the Aladren Head of House office. He knocked on the hallway entrance to save time walking all the way through the library to common room.
When he was invited inside, he got right to the point. "I just saw something concerning. Mr. Stones was out on the pitch. He was like a ghost, but he was acting unusual for a ghost. He was not affected by a stupify spell - which is what I would expect, but I panicked a little - but when I tried to immobilize him, he just sort of . . . disappeared? I don't know if I banished him completely or just sent him somewhere else. And I heard there were some dueling not-ghosts shouting in German in the corridor the other day, so I'm not sure if this is related to some kind of odd not-ghost infestation or something? So I thought I should report it, and maybe have you check the wards to make sure malevolent spirits of dead abusive fathers can not get in?"

There were any number of things that Gray might have, if asked to speculate, expected one of his prefects to report to him as ‘something concerning.’ The appearance of a dead man was not one of those things. His mouth opened slightly in shock, and he feared he looked rather absurd for a few seconds as Heinrich continued talking.
“Ah – yes,” he said finally, after Heinrich concluded, latching onto something that more or less made sense. “Those would be…most undesirable things to have floating around campus. You did the right thing, reporting it – but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a ghost turning itself invisible….”
He shook his head slightly and adjusted his glasses. “Sorry – you startled me a bit,” he apologized absently. “You may have stumbled across something the staff knows about – some shapeshifter that seem to want to upset the people who come across it,” he explained. “I’ve heard of it taking the shape of at least one person we know is alive, so not a ghost – assuming this is what you saw.” Perhaps he shouldn’t have said that. If he was wrong, and it really was some manifestation of Mathias Stones, then… “You said it behaved unusually for a ghost,” he said. “What did you mean by that?” His hands were already moving around this desk to find supplies for jotting down notes. His mind, unfortunately, was not always the most organized of places, and while he often got papers mixed up as well, he could find them more easily again than stray thoughts. That made it wise to document things of importance, which this might be.
