7). Five senses thread:
Choose ONE sense - touch, smell, sight, sound, taste - and make THREE references to it in your post.
When someone replies, they should include three references to a different sense.
When you reply, pick another one.
And so on.
Can you complete all five between you?

Sadie-Lake Chalmers

People always said the library was quiet. That, Sadie supposed, was true. But the quiet made her aware of every other sound. The people rustling pages didn't bother her. It was the way that she could really hear her own breathing that was a problem. Once she'd noticed it it was hard to stop noticing it, or feeling like it was too loud (even though, to anyone else, it would not really have been noticeable).

She finished her charms homework and pulled her potions textbook out. It was super heavy, and however carefully she tried to set it down, it made a noticeable 'thump.'

"Sorry," she mouthed at the nearest person, worried that she was being annoying.

Felipe De Matteo

Felipe laid in bed, wondering at the privilege that was. Soft sheets and blankets curled around him, keeping him warm. The sunlight drifting through the window added to the sensation, but was more targeted; it cast rays of heat across his chest and stomach where it filtered past his curtains. His pajamas were soft, too. Really, everything about this life of his was soft, and maybe he was too.

He forced himself to sit up, to greet the afternoon with a shy expression, since he really should have been up by now. The floor was cold on his bare feet but the feeling prompted something in his sense of routine because his stomach gnawed at him, reminding him it was well past the time for his first meal of the day.

He sighed, letting the air that wooshed out of his mouth be sustenance enough for now. Zara was in Cascade Hall probably. And Jessica. And Leonor. But he couldn't just lay here.

Getting dressed in the scratchiest clothes he could find - clothes that would remind him not to be so soft anymore, he grabbed a book and a can of pineapples and made his way to the Common Room. A student he didn't know very well was sitting on one end of the couch, but all the solo chairs were full. He would have to accept that seat, or leave the Common Room.

"Excuse me," he interrupted, feeling bad for doing so. "Is it alright if I sit here?"
