Evelyn Stones

April 11, 2020 3:20 PM
Evelyn was excited to be starting her fourth year at Sonora; this was the time when her potential was going to be realized. Or something was going to be realized. With the promise of laughter to fill the void of summer, seeing her friends at school was almost always better than being home. At least in as much as she was ever home. Either way, being back at school was magical in every sense of the word.

Stepping out into the Gardens for her first jog after the start of the new school year, Evelyn stopped to stretch near the flowing water fountain and was surprised to notice she wasn't the only one. Another student, a young one, was doing the same thing on the other side.

"Hi," Evelyn smiled, not one to pass on an opportunity to say hi to someone. "How's it going?"

Philippe Delachene

April 11, 2020 3:54 PM
Philippe sat outdoors. It was a very pleasant day to spend in the Gardens, and he was currently perched on the edge of a fountain, watching the water flowing down the dragon’s back and wondering if Anya had ever found it and if so, had she ever tried to use it as a waterslide.

He was going to wager a solid ‘yes’ on that supposition, because being at magic school or not, Anya was still Anya, and this would be too hard for her to resist. Philippe had thought about it, so she definitely had, and Anya had zero filter between thinking about something fun and doing it.

He kind of wished she was here right now so he could stop worrying about the repercussions and just get dragged up to the top of the fountain and to slide down and get his clothes all sopping wet and it would be her fault and not his. She was a good sister like that.

Instead, he was staring into the void of the dragon’s gaze and wondering how much the teachers frowned on dripping robes being worn through the corridors.

When somebody said something, he jumped about a mile in startled surprise and turned guiltily toward them, denying fervently, “I wasn’t going to go in the fountain!”
