New First Year Introductions by Daniel Nash II

Hello to all of my new classmates (and to the people who are here already). It looks like I get to start the Introductions thread this year. Awesome.

Anyway, I'm Daniel Nash (that's Daniel, please; Dan is my Dad and Danny is so babyish).

If you think I look familiar, you've probably seen me in the prime time cop drama, Street Beat, on Wednesday nights. I play Nate Bealer, son of Matt Bealer, the main cop guy. Matt's played by my real life dad, Dan Nash (the first). My mom is Kathleen Burbridge, who does romantic comedies and dramas, and I've been in a couple of her movies, too.

Kathleen Burbridge has a daughter at this school, but I am nothing at all like Holly so just ignore any resemblance you think you might see between me and my half-sister. It's all in your head.

I'll be going into Aladren, so I'm looking forward to meeting my new housemates.

So, it's kind of wicked awesome that you're on Street Beat. I watch that show with my dad every week! Not that I'm, like, a crazy fan or anything. Dad's just big on 'quality time,' since it's the two of us, and I want to be a cop. Not an Auror, but a cop. Or maybe both. If that's possible.

Anyway, hi! I'm Indrajit, but you can call me Indy. I live in Sacramento with my dad, Dev, who's a Healer. I'm Indian, but I've never been there, which is a bummer. I've been sorted into Pecari--can't wait to meet the rest of my housemates!

/frowns disapprovingly/ Anyway, Min Ae and I are from Key Largo. Our Oma and Uncle run a food-shack on the boardwalk. I've been (or rather, will be) sorted in Aladren, and-

/shakes head/ School is meant for studying. Oma- our mother- is letting us come here only because we promised to study hard and not cause any problems for her back at home. Which is why I intend to focus on my classes and studying. Those other things can come later on.

Hi!

I'm Adelita Garcia, born and raised in San Francisco with my wonderful parents, my little sister Dulce, and my baby brother Jorge. I am mostly Spanish, though my dad does have a bit of English in him (his mom's side). Spanish is my second language, unlike those of my relatives, but that was a choice my parents made.

Just to make it clear, I am the eldest niece to the Santoro clan already here at Sonora. Yes, weird, I know, but true.

Quentin-Hi Daniel, I'm Quentin. I'm a pureblood so I'm not exactly aware of your acting career. I'm from Dubuque Iowa, where my family runs an all male wizarding school. I'm also related to the Brockert family. My great-grandma, Kaylie, Adam,Chelsea and Lily's great-grandpa, and Pippa's great-grandpa are brothers and sister. I came to Sonora because my ancestors and relatives all go here and my family doesn't want to worry about accusations of nepotism.

By the way, Holly is your half-sister? Is she half a person? Is she some kind of beast? Is she split into top and bottom halves or left and right halves? Which half of her is your sister? What's the other half?

Author-Daniel, I am so deeply sorry you'll be stuck with him for the next seven years as a roommate.

Chelsea-What's wrong with resembling Holly? She's a perfectly lovely person.

Hello, my name is Pippa Brockert and I'll be in Teppenpaw house.

I live in Colorado where my family is based out of even though lots of them live in places like Oregon, Wisconsin and Iowa. I live with my parents Adrian and Claudia and my sister Tawny. Sometimes my older half sister Melora is there too but she's at college. As Quentin said below and you can guess by my last name, I am related to Adam,Chelsea and Kaylie though distantly and also to Quentin and Lily distantly.

Quentin-So which way is Melora split in half? Top and bottom or left and right?

Author-Can't you even stay in your own introduction? Pippa, you're lucky not to be more closely related to him.

Well, I'm not really used to big families *mind reeling at the idea of being related to so many people*, though I have a few siblings. But since their Muggles, they're... home and you probably won't know who I'm talking about if I name names. My dad is the guitarist of a low brow band during the sixties and seventies, and he met my mom during an anti-war movement. Uh, I can play a few instruments, not exactly well, but my dad likes us to know at least a little.

Pippa-It's nice to meet you Nathaniel. Actually my immediate family isn't that big. I have two sisters, one that's a year younger, which is Tawny and one who's about 10 years older, which is Melora. I only have one first cousin, who is even older than Melora. His name is Angus. My dad's sister Margo has no children.

Quentin-Actually you may have lots of relatives, Nathaniel, it's just that they're not here. It depends on how far you trace it back. My author currently has us up to great-great-grandparents.

Hello! I am Benvolio Dramulan, or "Ben" or "Dramula" if you please. I live in San Francisco, and I'm half-blood; my mum's a witch and my dad's a Muggle. All that my parents told me about my wizarding blood was that I was "a very special child", and I only knew how special I really was when the invitation letter from Sonora arrived at my house. My mum had to convince my dad to agree to let me come to Sonora to study, since he'd rather I get myself a Muggle education and then move on to get a Muggle job. He doesn't understand the wizarding community very much, so yeah.

Daniel: That's because the Headmaster must have taken pity on everyone else and put all the other potential Pecari girls in other Houses out of concern for their mental well-being. Chelsea, I hate to burst your bubble, but Holly is not perfectly lovely. She cries over nothing and doesn't share well with others. I know. I'm her brother.

Daniel: But I don't cry when I don't get my way.

Holly: No. You sulk.

Hey all! Second year pecari here! Name's Kyler. I'm from Durango, Colorado, home of the Rockies and all things glorious like that. Dad is into stunts, which is probably why he became a stuntman, and Mom is into creative stuff, which is probably why she's a Producer.

And being a twin has its ups and downs. You're never lonely, but you'er also never really alone. That's why it's kinda cool that we got into different houses. We have cousins too, but we rarely see them. I think its best that way.

Well, a brain is actually not half of your body. However it is the most crucial part. Well, one of them anyway. Actually all internal organs are pretty important.

I've never had to share a room either. In fact, I'm an only child. Well, right now I am. Someday I won't be. Not because my parents are going to have more children, I just won't be a child anymore. I will still be their only offspring .
