I offer you my condolences. I hear that today your author got even more ancient and decrepit than she was before. Is she using a cane yet?

... who do not wish to (a) invoke the wrath of the Headmaster and be assigned Scrappy, (b) miss a chance to eat cake, or (c) be associated with Zack who is quite clearly entirely crazy and decidedly disrespectful, we will just say . . .

Happy Birthday!

Oddly enough not yet. But I figure it can't be too much longer. She really is incredibly old. When did yours start? We can compare notes and get a better idea of when the cane will show up. Might help me get a better idea of when she's going to be so old she can't type anymore too... although yours seems to be retaining that ability despite hitting insanely old age.\r\n\r\n

Strangely, I haven't seen mine using a cane yet either. I suspect she's conspiring with the snitches who have given her unnatural longevity and health beyond her advanced years. That may also account for her ability to keep typing, too.

You may want to recommend your author take a visit to your home planet near Betelgeuse to get similar treatments before the symptoms of her growing age become too prominent.

...even though you're like the smartest guy in school, but I really am from Earth. Honestly. I don't know where you get those odd ideas.

... you would say that even if you were an alien. I get that you don't want everyone to know, and I've stopped telling people out of respect for your wishes, but this is OOC, so it's all right here.

... fine. You caught me. It's just a pity because we totally wanted to surprise you when the ship came back and we took off with you to perform some new and exciting (for us, certainly) experiments on an Earthling.

Please, don't tell him that. I need him to perform head duties still, otherwise I might go mad, and then your cousin would have to deal with a crazy seeker/captain, and you don't want that, do you?

So please? No teasing Zack?

... the guy is a nutjob, continuously hounding after me about how I'm an alien and I'm not allowed even a little bit of fun? Becoming Head Girl took all the fun out of you.

Jen? He's joking? I'm not gonna get abducted? Because, ya know, the Snitches are already after me. If the Betelguisians want my brain, too . . . I'm just saying, he might be telling the truth . . .

No, Zack, he's not going to abduct you. And if he did, then I would force him to give you back. I'm a female Pureblood. I'm scary that way.

And, Stephen, becoming head girl did not take all the fun out of me. However, I have the feeling that Jake might get upset if I have any with you. Or Sorrel might get suspicious (since obviously it's impossible for a teenage male and a teenage female to do anything fun innocently, or some nonsense like that). So, sorry, mate. Your loss.

Oh. Okay. Thanks. *Gives Stephen a nervous look, but trusts in Jennifer's protection - she's a Quidditch Captain, after all, and Anne proves that those are definitely a potentially dangerous breed.*

*Then he gives Jennifer a sidelong look and wonders if she's patronizing him. But then dismisses it. Jennifer wouldn't do something that.*

Good cop, bad cop. Or, in this case, taunter/alien, quidditch captain/head girl/no fun/reassuring girl type. And you fell for it, Zack! I bet you didn't even suspect that the cookie was filled with enough tranquilliser that it would have dropped a Silastic Armourfiend of Striterax in its tracks. OR it would have if they hadn't blown themselves up a very, very, very long time ago. Anyhow, it should take effect in 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3...\r\n\r\n

*Zack is frozen in terror, looking at the chocolate smudges still on his fingers. He hears Jennifer's denials, but he finishes the countdown down in his head. Only when he hits zero and nothing happens for the next five seconds does he completely believe that Stephen was pulling his leg.*

Sh-should we take house points, Jennifer?

*Zack's still mostly under his bed and doubts he'll be coming out again until he needs to be at the prefect station - it's cozy under here and its as good a place to do his potions homework as anywhere.*
