I also know very little of magic except what is in G rated movies (my parents do not permit me to watch anything much beyond Disney). For the last year, all the strange things happening around me made me think I was loosing my mind since it tended to only happen when nobody else was around. You have no idea how relieved I was to find out about magic being real.
