Teppenpaws, follow me! by Nathan Xavier
As the desert vanished from the tables and it looked like most people were done eating, Nathan rose from the Staff table and approached the Teppenpaw table. "First years," he called, trying to catch the attention of the handful of new students who had turned yellow. "Teppenpaw first years, please gather 'round."There were not many of them, though, so he collected the full set without too much trouble. Once he had them, he picked up his narrative as if the tour had not just been interrupted by a sorting ceremony and a feast. "Our last stop of the night is Teppenpaw Commons, which will be your home away from home for the next seven years. Please stay together and I will show you the way."
Making sure he didn't misplace any of his charges, he headed out of the Cascade Hall. If anyone was good with directions or was following along with their maps, they would recognize the group was moving in the direction of the Hospital Wing. Before he got there though, Nathan veered off to take a flight of stairs up to the next floor. "Almost there," he promised, "Just a few more stairs."

Thanks to a thing we call fuzzy time, you can have your character involved in multiple threads at the same time, as long as they are taking place at different times from your character's perspective. This way you don't need to wait for one thread to end before starting another if you don't need to know how that one resolves before moving on to explore another Sonora experience for your student.
