Kaylie was stressed. Why had she decided to take so many classes? She should have known she wasn't capable. Just to get passing grades, she had to study all the time. This, plus her prefect duties, left her less time then Kaylie would have liked for both Chris and Adam.
She'd come out to the gardens for a break. She couldn't deal with it anymore right now. Kaylie was just so frustrated and worn out. Feeling exhausted, she flopped down on the ground. She really hadn't been sleeping very much and had even been getting headaches. She really hoped she wasn't going to get migraines like Marshall always did.
Kaylie gazed around the gardens. How she'd loved just sitting and relaxing outside, before the allergies had struck. Now, she could still go out but she had to pump herself full of medication. She gave a long sigh. It may have surprised people that the class ditz had a lot on her mind. First of all, there was Adam of course. Her brother seemed even more sad and isolated and Kaylie blamed herself. She'd been spending time with Chris when she could and she knew Adam had been resenting him ever since last summer.
Then, there were her grades. Kaylie had always wanted to be a Healer and help care for sick people. However, she really didn't think she was smart enough. Healers had to know Potions and that was one of Kaylie's worst subjects. A frown crossed her face. She probably wasn't smart enough for anything, maybe she should just stay home and care for her children when she got older. That was, if Chris even wanted her anymore. He was an Aladren. Kaylie wasn't sure she was smart enough for him.
Kaylie leaned back against one of the Labyrinth walls. She was so lost in thought that she didn't hear when someone crept up next to her.\n\n
