Challenge 3 by Selina Skies

Hi.

I know for challenge 3, we're doing the planning/making thing for different attractions.

I don't have access to chatzy, which means I don't have access to the list of specific places we came up with. Can someone copy it to here please?

Also, does anyone worry it will be too similar to challenge 2, in that it's a lot of planning/discussion, which is hard to get completed in RPG format? Or is the content different enough that it doesn't matter? If there are any suggestions on how to present the challenge to make it easy to post at and as distinct as possible from 2, please let me know.

Thanks

Well... by Mortimer Brockert

But if it's a lot of discussion and planning, wouldn't people be posting the discussion and planning? Also, if we don't do this, then what do we do? It's kind of last minute to change it.

I don't remember all the different types of rides, I know there was water slides, haunted house...roller coaster

Alright. If we are giving out attractions, we need nine. Throw ideas out.

- Water park
- Escape room (I know it was a separate suggestion but could work here)
- Haunted house

- Petting zoo?
- Tea room?
- Formal garden? Or just park?
- Sports....place? Like, what would a place with batting cages, punch bag games, skiball etc be called? Here, we have a sports bar with all those things but obviously kids are not gonna be planning a bar

Nathan left this message 39 days ago:

Museum (Children's museums especially have a lot of hand-on exhibits)
Arcade (which usually have skee-ball but generally not the batting cages)
Mini-golf course

Batting cage and sporty stuff thing . . . ones around us are just given names like 'sports emporium' or 'the coliseum' or 'family fun center'. There's not really a generic name for the concept. They often go with go-carts, mini-golf, bowling, and/or laser tag

I'm not suggesting changing the whole challenge, as yes, it is too late for that, just asking for whether there's ways it can be presented that make it easier to respond.

E.g. with the music challenge, I tried to give options like rummaging in the junk, talking, getting advice from portraits. However, it felt like it still started with a 'what do we want to do?' type conversation and when each team only gets a limited number of posts in per challenge, it doesn't always move very far beyond that.

I feel like having decided the type of attraction is a 'short cut' that helps avoid it getting stuck in that, but just wondering if anyone sees any other ways to help people easily get right to it.

I don't think this way would be necessarily hard to respond to, it's basically the same as the party planning from last time, except that it's planning rides rather than parties.

Basically, it needs to go up, it's already a day late.

I'm aware. I'm not delaying for this discussion. I am delayed because I haven't been able to use most of the Internet for over a week, and this is only one of several things that needs my attention right now. I also didn't think it would be helpful to post it before the scores, which I managed to do last night.
