Panic before the concert! HELP! by Addison Thornton, with a bit of Andri

Addison had been in Cascade Hall when she started feeling pretty awful. Her heart pounded loud and fast, her breaths were labored and it felt like there was an elephant on her chest. This is soooo not good... she thought. As she walked towards the door to go to the hospital wing she held tightly to every table until she made it to the wall. Using the wall to walk towards the door was hard, with nothing to grab onto, but somehow she managed to get to the heavy doors. Her first few attempts at pushing it open were unsuccessful. This was making her freak out even more.

Thankfully someone opened the door from the outside moments later and she felt a little better until she realized that she still had to walk to the Hospital Wing. Ohmygod... Ohmygod... Ohmygod... she thought as she grasped through the air to reach the wall beside the door. Addi's fingertips brushed the wall and she held on for dear life, almost like a life-jacket on the Titanic. Sure, she knew that some people would think she was being a huge drama queen, but this was a bit problem, the Teppenpaw was sure of it...

The fourth year struggled, shakily walking down the hall towards the Hospital Wing. Addi had no idea how long it took her but she felt like she was going to die...

"Addi?"

Addi paused, silent and still and waited for the voice to come closer. She thought she recognized it, but couldn't be sure, thanks to the pounding in her heart.

"Addi? What's wrong? Is it your Asthma?"

Her sister Andri walked up to her and Addi looked at her with a pitiful glance. "Hospital Wing..." she whispered (at least it felt like a whisper to her), though it was very hard to hear.

Andri's face fell. She'd only been playing around with her older sister, after all. But all playing aside, Andri took Addison's arm and walked her the rest of the way to the Medic. Her going to class was fast forgotten in the worry over her sister. She'd never seen Addi like this and it scared her. Her knowledge didn't even help...

"HEY! Can we get some help in here please!" Andri called out as she half opened the door, still supporting her overweight sister. "My sister needs help! Please!"

Meanwhile, Addi let Andri lead her as thoughts ran through her mind worse than a hamster wheel. The fourth year had never felt like this before. She was scared, and thought she was going to die. This is it... I'm going to die here... I want my Mommy... she thought.

Help is here. Don't fret! by Medic Bailey

Things at Sonora were always full of surprises. There was never a dull moment at the school, and Dylan loved it. He was never bored and had the time to continue broadening his knowledge on the medical field. It was a great job, and he hoped to be here for a long, long time. It was a very fulfilling job to do. Children filled his every day, and Dylan was ready to start looking for a more formal relationship and begin his family. He loved children and couldn´t wait for his own. Being a father was one thing he always pictured himself as. Of course, he would be the soft one while his wife would need to be the bad cop. He was too nice to enforce any rules for his children.

The medic was labeling potions and medical instruments for the umpteenth time. He liked having everything catalogued and accounted for in his own system. That way he could always find the things that he needed in a moment's notice. It was hard working and acting as fast as possible when one couldn't find the right things at the right time. He could be obsessive when his things were out of place and that was why he took inventory every few days. Today was one of the days where he did it.

Dylan was taking notes of the potions and supplies that needed to be replaced when his musing were interrupted by a scream. The medic jumped right into action and supported the girl that seemed to be having some kind of trouble. He saw that it was Addisson Thornton, the girl that suffered from asthma attacks. The medic placed her on the bed and quickly casted the anti-inflammatory charm. The potion was more efficient, but the girl could hardly breathe and wouldn't be able to swallow. Once he saw that the symptoms subsided, Dylan quickly offered her a glass of the potion that would definitely make her come back to her normal breathing pattern.

Asthma was inflammatory disease of the airways. It was easy to treat, but could have awful consequences if it wasn't treated. “Are you feeling better?” he asked concerned. He looked at his sister, “Don't worry I can handle it. Do you know where her inhaler is? She should have it with her at all times.”

Thank goodness for help! by Addi with Andri

Andri had screamed as loud as she could without scaring Addison more than it seemed she already was. She'd never seen her sister like this before, and it scared her to no end.

Addison on the other hand thought she was really dying this time. She knew somehow that this wasn't just an asthma attack. She didn't know what it was, but she knew it wasn't good.

Seconds after Andri's scream, Medic Bailey was right at their sides. Andri watched Medic Bailey put her sister on the bed and cast a charm on her. Andri watched with worry threading her brow. "Medic Bailey, I don't think this is just an asthma attack... It's weird, it was like something was really bad... But I don't know what it was." Andri said to him as Medic Bailey offered Addison a glass of potion.

While the sweat felt like it was pouring off Addison's forehead she looked at him in an almost pleading way. Sure, she was glad she could breathe again, but it still felt way weird to be her just then. Her heart raced inside her and she felt dizzy, which she shouldn't be feeling with the charm he'd already cast on her. There was a tingling feeling in her hands and fingers which she didn't like either and she still felt like she was going to die.

"I'm scared... Something's not right, and I don't know what it is..." Addi said softly to him, soft enough for Andri not to hear her too. She knew her younger sister was worried and she didn't want to scare her more than she already was.

Medic Bailey looked at Andri and Andri looked back at him. "It's supposed to be in her pocket, but I don't think this is just an asthma attack... I've never seen her like this before... Never..." she said to him.

Woot! by Medic Bailey

At least the girl could breathe, but since it hadn't been an asthma attack, the Medic didn't know what was happening to Addison. Neither one of the girls had actually told him any of the symptoms the older girl had. The Medic had acted on his knowledge of her asthma and it had looked like an asthma attack. Dylan had made a mistake that could have been potentially dangerous for Addison. Thankfully, the charm and potion he had given her weren't dangerous and they had seemed to help her out.

“I will need more information to treat you accordingly,” he said with furrowing his brow. He was mentally slapping himself for acting without knowing, but his job as healer depended a lot of knowing bits of information about his regular patients. Addison suffered from asthma and she hadn't been sporting any visible injuries. It was only logical for her to have forgotten her inhaler and needed help with an asthma attack.

“Please give me specific symptoms. If this wasn't an asthma attack and you don't tell me what is wrong or what you feel, then I can't help you. I can't treat you without it.” Dylan smiled reassuringly to both girls. They looked scared, but as far as he could tell nothing life threatening was happening. “So…who is going to start listing anything that seems important for me to know what is wrong?” The medic summoned a stool and sat beside the bed Addison was in it. He also summoned one for her sister.

What is this...? by Addison Thornton, with a bit of Andri

Addison watched the medic furrow his brow from her spot on the bed. When he started talking to her she listened as best as she could, but his words made her nervous.

“I will need more information to treat you accordingly. Please give me specific symptoms. If this wasn't an asthma attack and you don't tell me what is wrong or what you feel, then I can't help you. I can't treat you without it.” Medic Bailey said.

Thoughts flew through Addison's mind hearing him talk. If I don't tell him what's going on he can't help me? But I don't know WHAT is going on… Addi felt warmer now at the thought of it and wiped at the sweat off her brow.

Andri bit her lip, which was not normal for her. That was more Addison's thing. Medic Bailey smiled reassuringly at them and asked who would start listing the problems. Since Andri didn't have a clue what her sister was feeling, she stayed quiet for the most part. Stools appeared beside Andri and Medic Bailey and they sat down beside Addi's bed.

Addison looked at him, wiped the sweat beads off her forehead with the back of her hand and started softly and slowly. "I'm sweaty, real bad. My heart is racing and I've been feeling pretty dizzy since I was in Cascade Hall and saw the signups for the concert." she started, pausing to breathe. "I've been really nervous and it sorta feels like my hands and fingers are sorta sleeping. Its tingly and weird..." she added to him. She hoped he knew what was going on, because this was scaring her half to death. Addison knew what she'd just said would scare her sister, so she glanced towards Andri before turning back to Medic Bailey and whispering into his ear, "I kinda feel like I'm dying... Didn't wanna say that out loud in front of Andri. I don't wanna scare her cause i'm probably not, but you know..."

Andri heard the first bit of symptoms and her own brow furrowed in worry for her sister. She'd been right, it wasn't anything that had ever happened before to any of them and it scared her even more when Addi whispered into Medic Bailey's ear. She strained to hear what her sister said, but to no avail. She looked from one to the other, hoping someone would shed some light into her mind before she spiraled down into a place where she didn't know or understand. She hated not knowing what was happening. She thought she was smart and right then she didn't feel that way about herself at all…
