Addison was told that there was a new Healer there at school and she knew better than to not go in to tell him about her asthma. It had been known to flare up in the oddest of situations and she didn't want it to come as a complete shock to him. Instead, her older and younger sisters took it upon themselves to introduce her to him.
To be honest with herself, she didn't want to go and meet him. The last thing she wanted was to go and meet someone else and tell them about her oddities. She was even sure that her roommates had no idea about her asthma. She wanted to keep it that way. She was sure that at least one of them thought of her as odd or babyish and she wasn't into the idea of giving her another reason to think that. “Do I have to?” she asked Arista, who's fourteen year old body was pulling her slightly younger sister up the hall with Amira and Andri behind them to make sure that Addison didn't turn back. It was very common for the three to gang up on Addison and she hated how they did it. She was a big girl as it was, thirteen and old enough in her book to be making her own choices and decisions there at school without her older and younger sisters sticking their noses in her life.
At the same time, she knew that they were doing it this time out of pure love for the girl.
“Yes. You have to do it.” Arista said without another word as she pulled her along. Andri prodded her in the back with her wand and Addison glared back at her while staring at Amira at the same time. Amira hadn't been the same since her little stunt over the summer and that afternoon Addison had almost pulled her to the Healer too, but she wouldn't have been able to do it without help. She figured that she'd pull Arista aside that night after dinner and get her to help her. Amira really wasn't herself and she didn't know what was going on but she knew that it couldn't be good. Addison was always the worry-wart and nothing had changed with age on that respect.
“Fine.” she said as they reached the doors. Andri came around to the front and pulled on the door.
“Medic Bailey?” Andri called out and the sister's waited until he made his appearance.

Dylan was peacefully reading a medical journal he just had acquired. It was full of interesting articles on immune deficiency. After Valerie's visit, the medic's curiosity had been peeked. What he knew about the disease was basic and he wanted to immerse himself in it to get a better understanding. As far as knew, Valerie was the only student at Sonora that needed constant medical supervision and he was going to give her the best he could offer. The girl needed his attention and care. Merlin knew she didn't get those from home. The medic wanted to give Valerie a better quality of life. A cold cup of coffee was on top of a stack of letters he needed to reply to, but he was too involved in his reading to think about anything else. It was as if Dylan entered a world of his own and it was very difficult for him to get back to reality. Very few things were able to do that.
The medic had his wireless on to some weird station he didn't know, but the music was just for the background. It was something he always did, turn the on just to have background noise. Thankfully, it was a classical music station. Unconsciously, he began to hum to the violin that was conquering his office. A smile came to his face as he turned the page and continued on reading. It was a miracle that he had heard when someone called his name. Dylan marked the page and closed it before going out to the Infirmary to see who needed his medical attention.
The medic blinked in surprise to see three girls in the Infirmary. First, they looked alike, so he assumed they were siblings, and secondly, they didn't seem to be suffering from any kind of malady. If they were all healthy, he wondered why they were here. It seemed improbable of them to just come to the Infirmary to meet him, but who knew with little kids. They were full of surprises.
“What can I help you with?” he asked in the friendliest tone he could muster, which was super friendly. A smile still was still present on his lips. “Is anyone of you sick?” he changed his tone to worried one for his last question. He didn't like seeing children sick, part of why he had chosen pediatrics.

Addison had glared at her younger sister as she called for the new medic, but didn't run. Why should she anyway? It would just set off her asthma. The red-headed third year sighed and turned behind her to her two younger sisters once more. Amira was hiding. It was almost like she didn't want to be seen. Addi turned back to Arista and whispered, "We need to get Amira to see him..."
Arista looked into Addi's eyes and nodded. Ris fell back and pulled Amira out of the corner and spoke to her as Medic Bailey came into the room. Andri spoke up and poked Addison forward. She hadn't been let in on the little whisper, so she was still under the impression this visit to the Hospital Wing was for Addison alone. Addi moved forward and spoke. "I'm Addison Thornton and my sisters want me to introduce myself to you. I'm an asthmatic and sometimes it can get really bad. So they wanted me to be sure to tell you..." she said, looking back to Arista who was trying to pull a reluctant Amira forward.
"Also, our sister Amira has had some issues lately and-" Addi went on as Amira interrupted.
"I'm FINE." she said, "Besides, its nothing, really." she added as she turned and walked out of the room faster than Analea could say Quidditch.
Addi looked at Medic Bailey, her cheeks blanching. "I'm sorry, my sister isn't normally like that... She..." The third year turned back to Arista as if to say it was her turn to speak.
Arista came back forward and did as Addi had begged with her eyes. Ris knew her sister's looks by then and knew what needed to be done. "Our sister had a uhm... Spill over the summer. That's probably the best way to put it. And she-"
Andri interrupted. "And she fell off her broom at Pecari Tryouts."
Soon it was a talking fight between Arista and Andri about Amira's accident. They told him that she'd flown higher and higher until the air pressure sent her back down to the ground. How her headaches had been really bad to the point of her passing out and more. All the while, all Addi did was watch and back up away from the barrage of words, wondering what would happen next.
Dylan blinked a couple of times before chuckling at the girls bickering. It was obvious that they were related, they had those sister similarities that made the fact known to the world. Not to mention the sisterly bickering he had seen all of his life in his younger sisters, and it was still amusing. Not that he would tell the children that. The bickering was just a way to show someone cared, or that was what his parents had told him when he was annoyed by them when he was younger. However, it made it harder for him to understand what they wanted for him. None of them looked sick right now.
“Girls, please stop,” he said somewhat amused. He needed to untangle this mess. “Let's go over everything.” He rummaged through a drawer to get a notepad. Once he had it he took out the Healer quill he had on his front pocket of his scrubs. “Addison you are asthmatic and Amira has been having headache problems.” He repeated the information while he wrote it down. The girls had been interrupting one another while they had tried to give him information.
The Healer looked at the remaining three girls, “Addison, don't worry. I have files with the students that need special attention for their diseases.” That really came in handy. He didn't have to look for a certain student in the cabinet with all the files. He had a special sick cabinet. It was morbid, but necessary. His briefly thought about Valerie Lennox. As far as he could tell, she was the student that needed the most attention. “As long as you have your medicine with you at all times you shouldn't have any problems. If you do, you know here to find me,” she said with a smile. Addison's problem was easily manageable.
“And you said Amira has headaches, because?” he hadn't understood that part. Their bickering had made it difficult for him. Dylan got worried, because headaches without a reason could be a sign of something deeper and head trouble was something none should take lightly. “Please repeat it, but just one should explain it.” Dylan was a very patient man; he had to, since he had grew-up with three younger sisters. Not to mention that being a pediatrician required it.
Addison watched as Arista and Andri bickered with each other. She wished this whole thing was over, but unfortunately there was no luck in that regard. Medic Bailey asked them to stop and Addison looked at them too, begging them to stop. It hadn't worked and Addi was afraid she would have to tell him if they kept it up. Addi watched as he pulled out a notepad and quill. "Yes, sir." she said to him softly as Arista and Andri kept on trying to speak over each other. "That's right."
Dylan told her not to worry and she nodded to him to show that she understood, even though Arista and Andri were still fussing with each other.
"We only have the nebulizer, sir. It's just there." she said softly, pointing to the cabinet. "Thanks." she added as the medic asked about Amira's headaches.
"Over the summer Mir was being... well, she was being stupid. There's no better way to say it. She flew up too high and the air pressure made her faint and she fell off her broom. She was so high up we couldn't even see her anymore. We were all there on the ground, calling to her to try to get her to come down. When she finally came down she was falling and-" she stopped a second in the hopes that her other sisters would have stopped arguing by them. It hadn't happened like that, so she shook her head and went on. "and she hit her head really hard. She stopped breathing and Andri ran for Mom but she still wasn't conscious when the ambulance came to take her to the hospital." Addi said as she slowed down the explanation. She was starting to get winded just talking about what had happened.
"Finally she woke up there in the hospital and she didn't remember what happened. She's had headaches ever since. Some are worse than others, like what happened, I think, at Pecari tryouts." Addi said, looking at him to see if that was all he needed to know or if there was more.

Dylan nodded as he wrote down the information that was given to him. The Hospital Wing was fully equipped to deal with any kind of injuries, but he was worried that Addison had an asthma attack in her dorm room or in a place far away from the infirmary. Those minutes were going to be painful for the girl, unnecessarily so. “You can use it whenever you need, but I hope you get a hold of your inhaler in these next few days.” His brown eyes looked down at Addison and he smiled at her. He really liked children. However, he didn't know why they hadn't looked for more inhalers at another store. She basically depended on it.
He continued writing down notes. He didn't like the sound of what the girl's sister troubles. Head injuries were serious matter and he didn't like that she was still playing Quidditch. It was very dangerous. Something he wouldn't condone in any circumstances. He knew children were stubborn, but he was too. Dylan was sure Amelia wasn't aware of her head injury. The child would not have told her about it scared about some consequences. The girl had episodes of fainting during flying and that was endangering herself with no good reason. He was going to put a stop to it.
“No, that is all I need to know. Thank you.” He finally finished scribbling down his endless notes about the case. Though, he needed to copy it into Amira's file. “Tell your sister that if she has a headache she needs to come to see me. For the time being I will have a word with Coach Pierce,” he smiled again amidst the seriousness of the conversation. Head injuries were something that needed to be taken seriously. Amira had been unconscious!
He cleared his throat and sighed at the still bickering siblings in the background. “If this is all, you can leave. There is nothing to worry about here.” Dylan closed down the file and set on top of a table. “I am sure you have more fun things to do than be here with me.” He made a mental note to write Coach Pierce a quick owl about Amira's condition and his recommendation to stop her from playing for a while.
