Spectating...go Pecari!!! by Waverly Canterbury

Waverly was ecstatic that her house was in the final match for the Quidditch Cup. Ever since her flying lessons, she had been interested in seeing what a real match looked like. She had gone to the first match Pecari was in because her roommate had been in it, and then she fell in love with the game. Quidditch was so dangerous, and yet so thrilling to watch. She could only imagine how it would feel to play in it. Those players really knew how to fly on their brooms while Waverly could still hardly get that high off the ground without getting really nervous.

She was so proud of her team, and so today the first-year had decked out in Pecari colors. Granted, she didn't own a lot of brown and gold, but enough to make a statement. She tied back her brown hair with a gold ribbon and underneath her regular school robes she wore a brown T-shirt and dark blue jeans. She didn't have any gold or brown shoes, so she wrote "Pecari" on the toes of her old sneakers. It would wash off later.

Waverly rushed to the stands, not wanting to miss any part of the game, and arrived in time to see them throw the Quaffle into the air. She shouted, "GO PECARI!" as loud as she possibly could and watched her housemates with glee and competitiveness. "GO JADE!" she added. Since learning that the Seeker pretty much determined who won the game, she was surprised that a first-year had that role. It managed to give her some more pride with the fact that her roommate played an important part of the game. Now she just really wanted something interesting to happen and someone not to get hurt. That part was always hard to watch.

Arista Thornton (with a lil bit of Addi and Andri)

Spectating the WoTW! by Arista Thornton (with a lil bit of Addi and Andri)

Arista had dressed in her Teppenpaw Robes and was happily waiting for her younger sister to get dressed. Addison hadn’t wanted to go out in the weather, and had dressed as meticulously as possible so she wouldn’t get wet when it started raining. Arista however, only had on her robes and her normal clothes underneath. The oldest Thornton girl didn’t care if she got wet. “Come on Addi, you won’t MELT if you get a few drops of rain on you!” Arista had said to her as the pair left Teppenpaw to go meet Andri to go to the game. Arista shook her head and kept on walking when Addi wouldn’t give in.

“You’re gonna sweat in all that, and you look ridiculous!” she said to her younger sister as they met up with Andri by the doors out to the Pitch. Addi stood firm in her decision and (with Addison and Andri in tow), Arista walked to the Pitch. Andri ambled along beside Arista chatting happily and Ris pulled Addi alongside her on the other side. As they reached the pitch, the trio found seats besides one of the first years from Pecari as the oldest girl noticed decked out in robes of brown.

The game started with Pecari getting the Quaffle and the action that ensued kept Arista’s eyes and mind busy both with anticipation and excitement. The game of Quidditch was one that had fascinated the fourth year since she’d started at Sonora and was a proud member of the Teppenpaw team herself. The skills learned both in the game itself and watching from the stands were almost equaled this time and her happiness would not be quaffed until she saw the look on Amira’s face on the bench. The redhead knew that Mir was told she couldn’t play again, but she thought that she’d be less angry this game until she realized that this fact was definitely not truth.

Arista knew that this was the finals, but it hadn’t been a thought in her mind until that point and she poked at Addi’s side and pointed to Amira on the bench. The look the sister’s shared told Arista one thing. That they would have to meet up with her again after the game, whatever the outcome. Meanwhile, Andri who was on her other side, the one closest to the Pecari first year, was excitedly watching the match with no clue as to how angry their sister was. The shoes of the Pecari beside them had just that written on the toes and Arista smiled at that briefly and wondered if Andri had noticed in all her excitement as the game went on.

The oldest sibling bounced her gaze from the game, to Amira, back to the game and so on and so forth. It was almost like a ping pong match in her head, but it was what was needed at this point in the game.
