Quidditch Roster by The Coach
Quidditch tryouts had gone fairly smoothly and there had been enough players trying out to fill every position with some subs! There weren't quite enough people for two full teams, but that was fine by the coach, who was just pleased as punch to have as many participants as there had been. It was always disconcerting to start the new year and see how things would roll between new students and students who graduated the previous year, but it had gone fairly well this year it seemed. All in all, the coach was looking forward to upcoming practices and games.A week or so after tryouts - enough time to confirm no straggling students wanted to approach about trying out privately - the coach posted the roster to the same bulletin board where tryout information had originally gone. This list was accompanied by a poster with information about upcoming games, practice times, and information about Quidditch robes for students who didn't already have well-fitting ones. They'd all be equipped with safety gear, brooms if they needed them, and robes, but such things had to be fitted of course so students would be sized at the first practice of the season. Information about what to wear to practices was also included; it would be old information for students who had played before but the coach had found that reminders never hurt and there were students who hadn't played before on the sub list. Subs were reminded that they should attend practices even if they wouldn't necessarily be playing every game and rules about friends coming to watch were reiterated (yes, your friends can come; no, they can't fly; yes, they can sit in the stands; no, they can't throw things; yes, they should dress warm; no, they didn't need to wear workout clothes - the list of questions the coach had been asked over the years was extensive).
