Andrew was excited. It was the first Quidditch game of the year, and he was here to cheer on Marissa. He'd even found a red sweatshirt to wear under his robes to show his support. Crotalus was going to win this game, they had to. Aladrin had won their fair share of championships over the past few years, now it was someone else's turn to win. He found a good seat in the stands and watched Coach Pierce go through her traditional opening ceremonies, and then the game was on!

Usually he sat in the stands during the game and watched how the other teams were doing, what tricks they tried that he could 'borrow' and other such things. Also making careful notes on what he and his team might be up against. This time he wasn't. Well, yes he was, but it was much more one sided. He kept a very careful eye on the Aladren chasers, just in case he was going to have to be the one to put them in their place. He really hoped it wouldn't come to that. They were just downright crazy. He cheered for Nic as he made the initial save, Nic was getting better and it looked like he was finally learning to use those long limbs of his. Then Marissa was diving, was she going to end this already? The sooner the better by the looks of it, the Aladren chasers were giving Nic a rough time. "Go Marissa!" He shouted out over the crowd.

Watching by Meggie Brownbriar

Meggie walked up to the Pitch, longingly. She wished she was playing, but she knew that if she had gone for the team her father would do something rash. Her conversation with Gareth in the Library had shown her that. So she didn't do what she wanted. Maybe I'll wait till I'm older, when I really can make up my own decisions and if father wants to disown me it won't matter anymore...? she thought when she passed by the tryout signups once again.

Now the teams were picked and chosen and Gareth did indeed have a spot on the team. She was proud of him, though she thought she knew him well enough to know that he wasn't thrilled with the situation. With a sigh, she held her hand up to her eyes to stave off the sunshine as she walked up to the bleachers to watch Gareth. Shivering the the cool air, she finally got to a spot in the sun to watch.

Once the whistle blew, Renee got the Quaffle, passes it, but Kitty intercepted. The older girl dodged bludgers and heads back towards Nic, passing the ball to Russell who passed it right back to Kitty. Then she saw Gareth! "Go Gareth!" she called, standing up now in her excitement of the game.

When Aladren got a point, Meggie got visibly angry. "NO!" she called aloud. She didn't care how unlady-like she was being. If her cousin was playing, she wanted nothing more than for him to win!

When Marissa tried the Wronski Feint, Meggie was in awe. She'd always wanted to try that. She made a silent note to herself to ask Marissa how she did it later on. Then Gareth hit a bludger towards Arnold Carey. "YES!" she called happily when the black ball hit the Aladren. Gareth tried the same move again, but it was re-routed to Edmond on Marissa. "No!" she called as it hit Marissa's shoulder. The game went on and Meggie watched with eyes wide as Gareth stalked after the Aladrens. She knew that he wanted another shot at Arnold Carey and she didn't blame him in the least.

"Come on Gareth!" she shouted, hoping that he could hear her voice as he flew by her in the stands.
