OOC: This is a sample post to demonstrate how posts in the application should be written, covering only a single character's actions and perspective.
Additionally, this post is open for anyone who wants further practice before term begins. Please reply taking into account what Iris said and did, and reacting as your character. Remember that whilst you, the author, know what she is thinking, your character only sees what she does and hears what she says. BIC:
The plant looked innocent enough, it had the normal green leaves and green stem. There were a few buds on the plant that looked like they might just soon be ready to bloom open. However, despite those similarities, it didn't look at all like any plant she had ever seen before and she'd seen quite a few plants in her life so far. She had been helping to tend Ma's garden for a few years now, and more recently had started helping out with some of her other relatives' gardens. Plus, there were all the wild ones growing around the moutainside, and she hadn't ever seen any like this before.

It's leaves were an odd shape and she was pretty sure she'd initially seen it moving on it's own. That had really been the thing to catch her eye as she was trying to hunt down her brother in the gardens. She was almost completely sure she had seen this plant move. It wasn't now. Did it know she was watching it? What kind of weird plant was this? Would it bloom into pretty flowers? How would it look in her own, sadly neglected, flower garden?
She stood up from the kneeling position she had been in, while keeping a careful eye on the plant. Brushing off her robes, she heard someone approaching. Maybe they knew what the plant was, and if she would be allowed to touch it or examine it better. There were strange things about this place, and she didn't want to get injured from touching a plant that she shouldn't have.
Still afraid that if she looked away from the plant, it would run away and disappear forever, she smiled and greeted whoever was coming near to her. "Hi! Do ya know anything about this plant here? I think I saw it move on it's own." She'd been fighting against her southern accent and drawl since she'd arrived at the school. Hopefully it was working.
