If there was ever a year Mary was glad for her copious filing, it was this one. Between a new child at home and . . . well mostly that. Other things too, but with a new child at home, it was hard to remember whether she'd worn deodorant that day and coming up with a new post for an assistantship position was just not going to happen. Plus, all of her students probably already knew the gist of it.
She found last year's posting and copied it to a new, less wrinkly page before posting it to a bulletin board in class, written in all the languages that she had marked her potions bottles in as well. Normally it made her happy to include things like Greek but it did hurt a bit more than usual to see the Greek version up on her board this time. The affiliated country had much more sour memories attached to it now. She stuck it to the board in the center, with pamphlets about internships, college programs, and community events tacked up around it.
Potions assistantship:
Intermediate students can help with preparing ingredients, collecting ingredients, organizing cupboards and papers, and may brew some potions with me for class demonstrations.
I may take on up to three Intermediate students, one for each year.
Advanced students can expect to work with me to prepare ingredients and potions for upcoming classes and those interested in teaching Potions can help with grading papers and preparing lectures as well. Students can also focus on healing arts, as well as other areas of specialisation, by arrangement.
I may take on up to two Advanced students, one for each year.
All students may continue in their positions as long as they'd like and as long as their work and behavior are satisfactory. (Previous potions assistants get first choice).
Come see me after class or in my office hours for more information!
