Are we both fuming? [Post Final] (Tag: Starbuck Gregory) by Demelza Eagle

Demelza wasn't being the best sport. After the snitch was caught, she swore loudly, and sulked. She was so upset that Pecari lost. She really wanted to win! All of Pecari had tried so hard, she felt that they deserved it! Of course, Teppenpaw tried just as hard she supposed, but the desire to win had never grown so big in Demelza. As Teppenpaw cheered and partied over their victory, Demelza sulked. Jamie would be so dissapointed in her! Last term the win didn't hit her as hard because she was only a second year, and not the assistant captain. Demelza, for probably the first time in her life, was feeling really crappy. And it wasn't just because of the game. She wasn't that much of a sore loser. There were so many things going bad, and it all bothered her. She couldn't wait to go home and escape the drama that was Sonora. She needed her mom. She missed them all.

But what had been bugging her the most? Her confusion over her preferences in genders? No, she felt that that was no longer much of a confusion: Jude, like her eighth brother, had helped her out. She felt confident now. There was just one person who was making her mood soar to an all time low. Starbuck. What went wrong between the two girls? Her and Demelza used to be pretty good friends, and then one day it just seemed that Starbuck was cold to her. And what did Demelza do? She was mean and nasty right back. Man, what would her dad say? What her mom say? Her dad would tell her that was the wrong way to handle things. He would have suggested that she try and talk things through with Starbuck, her old friend. Her mom would have told her to spread the love and ever stop being her friend, only treat her like she would want to be treated. But Demelza had made some wrong choices. She was araid of making even more of them, but when it involved Starbuck... it was bound to happen. Something bitter took over Mel whenever she was around Starbuck.

Demelza took off her robes in the locker room, very slowly, as she was stuck in thought. What could she have done in the game that could have possibly helped Pecari? She couldn't do anything about Hannah catching the snitch. Basically whoever caught the snitch won the game. But maybe she could have taken out that keeper. She would have liked tat. But, now that she was out of the game adrenaline, she would have felt awful is she hurt someone. She really wasn't that bad of a person! Or, maybe she was?

Suddenly, Demelza realized that she and Starbuck were the last people in the locker room. Oh wait, it was the girls locker room, and they were the only girls on the team. That was much different from last year. She remembered the joy when her, Starbuck, and Delilah were in the locker room before games. Now, it was just awkward sometimes with just Starbuck. Demelza couldn't stand not saying anything, though, that just wasn't like her!

"If only we could save some balls, then we might have won," Demelza sighed a to herself a little too loud. Like, loud enough for Starbuck to hear her on the other side of the room. Demelza tried to act as though she didn't say that. Shoot. She regretted it immediately. She didn't want the tension between her and Starbuck to grow even more! Man, she was an idiot. She turned around, and then said, "See ya, Starbuck!" Like they were good buddies again and Demelza didn't just say that. Demelza wished that was the way it really was.

Are you kidding ME?! by Starbuck

When Starbuck heard that the snitch had been caught by Teppenpaw she had sighed and frowned. Of course they were lost, it seemed like Pecari always choked in the final game. It didn’t help the fact that Dorian was a first year compared to Hannah who was a seventh year. She had more time to hone her skills and it didn’t seem fair at all. The redhead sighed once again as she flew down from the goals and made her way into the girl’s locker room. Of course she didn’t like being here anymore since it was awkward with just Mel here.

Star stared at the picture of Farrah and her in their snow gear she had taped up in the locker when she had come back from midterm. The second year couldn’t wait to go home and hang out with Farrah, and her brothers all summer. She was tired of being pouty miserable Star here, heck she might even quit Sonora after this term. There was just too much drama here and the small town girl hated being away from her brothers. Plus the idea of being a witch had seemed much cooler when she thought she had friends here. She sighed as she finally began to pull out of her gear.

To Starbuck the locker room quietness was creepy last year Mel, Delilah, and herself had made enough noise for a full team. Now the locker room was quiet, and she wished it wasn’t. "If only we could save some balls, then we might have won," She heard Mel sigh. Starbuck bit her lip well wish granted just not in the way she wanted. "See ya, Starbuck!" Mel said and started out of the locker room, but there was no way she was going to let that little brat get away with saying that to her!

“Excuse me?” She yelled. “Maybe if you would’ve actually I don’t know HIT someone with the bludger we might have won! Why didn’t you take out Hannah?” Star snapped as she made her way closer to her teammate. She didn’t want to fight with Mel but this had been building all year and Starbuck was so tired of her holier then thou attitude!

It is in my nature to kid, but not this time by Demelza

Demelza flinched when Starbuck yelled. No, she didn't want this to happen! But when Starbuck spoke again, Demelza felt hurt. Really hurt. Her beating skills had never been downcast, so to be told that she could have done better was like telling an Aldren that an "Exceeds Expectations" wasn't good enough. Anger bubbled up inside her. She wanted to take a step closer to Starbuck like she did to her, and then pull her ponytail or something. She didn't want to hurt her. But then she did. What was she supposed to do?

She had to cool off, like what her dad constantly told Kat when she got too excited and almost had a seizure. Demelza ran over to her locker and then screamed her lungs out. Her high-pitched scream probably could have been heard through the whole stadium. But, damn, it sure did work. She withdrew her head from her locker, and then slammed the door. She faced Starbuck again, breathing heavily. Then, her knees buckled and she fell to the floor almost in tears. What on earth was wrong with her?

"Why?" She asked Starbuck, shrilly. She was so glad that Starbuck was the only other person in the locker room right now. "Why do we do this to each other? I didn't mean that, and I know that you didn't mean what you just said!" Demelza took a deep breath, still sitting on the ground. "Star, you tried your best, and I tried my best. Why do we even fight? I-I-," Demelza stammered. She had never been this emotional or dramatic before. She hated it! She couldn't believe that she wanted to hit Starbuck! She was such a monster!

"I'm sorry for whatever went wrong!" Mel said loudly, and confidently. "Starbuck, why are you so mad at me?" And why am I so mad at you? she thought to herself. She wanted answers! "Gosh Star, please tell me!" She said desperately to her. She felt so evil and impure. She had never felt like this, and she didn't want to. She wanted the hate to end! This was not how the world was supposed to be!

Yeah we alll know! by Starbuck

Starbuck’s anger was on the rise she could feel the heat coming to her face. She hated when her face matched her stupid red hair. When Mel ran to her locker and screamed Starbuck rolled her eyes. Mel, (the brat) was the one who started this fight! She had said something that had hurt Starbuck and she was not going to stand for it! She was one of the better keepers in the whole school and Mel knew it! When Demelza looked back at her after slamming the door she fell to her knees. What a drama Queen! Star thought.

When Mel shrilly began to ask why they were like this to each other. Starbuck rolled her eyes and scoffed. “Well you are such a damn drama queen!” She screamed. “And you’re a callous brat! You never think of any but yourself Demelza!” She spat her name like it was a dreaded disease. “Face it Mel you are selfish kid.” Starbuck didn’t want to go off on Mel but she had no words for her roommate anymore. It had taken her a year to come to Star and the only reason she had stopped was because she knew Starbuck could and would beat her up.

She turned on her heel and walked over to her own locker. She ripped the picture of Farrah and her out and shoved it in her pocket. “Yeah play Miss. Innocent now Mel but its not working. You made your bed now lay in it.” She snapped and the started to make her way past the door. She needed to write to Farrah, she wished to go this stupid school had phones so she could hear Farrah or her brothers’ voices! They would be able to calm her down quickly.

Glad I leave an impression by Demelza

Callous? What did that mean? Demelza wished that Starbuck didn't use such big words. She didn't know what that meant! What if she said something really really bad to her?! But, she supposed that didn't matter much: Demelza got the drift of what she was saying, and it did not please her. Clearly, Starbuck though most highly of herself. All she could do was point out everything Mel did wrong, but did she even stop to think of what she had done to Demelza all year long? No! What a hypocrite! Maybe she was right about Mel being selfish, but she didn't have much room to talk. Demelza immediately gathered herself up from her broken state (she was being really weird; she usually was never this dramatic.) and stared at Starbuck. Time to handle this the way she handled all things with bullies, like Starbuck.

This time, she spoke a lot more calmer, not daring to raise her voice, "You may be right. But you have no right to judge people." Mel took a deep breath and counted to three in her head. She wanted to leave the locker room: she wasn't looking for trouble. She wanted to go and tell Delilah what had happened, and then Jude, and make sure that she really wasn't what Starbuck said she was. Then, she had to write to Paul. This was something that she didn't even want to tell Jamie about. He wouldn't understand, he had never had to deal with a judgmental girl like Starbuck who thinks she has done no wrong. She just wanted to talk to somebody who wasn't out to attack her and hurt her.

But what Starbuck said next was completely uncalled for. She even said it right to her face! Fine, if you don't want me to be innocent, I gladly won't! she thought. She clenched her fist, causing her muscly arms to flex. It would be bliss to just take a swipe at her. Instead, Demelza just said, "Yeah, because you're so perfect, aren't you? You haven't started anything" Her thin face glowed red from anger, her chocolate brown hair falling out of it's pony tail. She wanted to see Starbuck walk out the door, and never see her walk back in again.

It's not a good thing trust me by Starbuck

When Mel pulled herself together Starbuck rolled her eyes, what was she playing the wounded heroine who rallied herself to defeat the evil person? "You may be right. But you have no right to judge people." Mel said causing Star to shake her head, having to live with this girl for then next five years was going to be hell. She wondered if she could room with the older girls or maybe the younger girl because there was no way she would be able to deal with her. “Mel shut up, seriously I’m tired of hearing you talk all the time!”

"Yeah, because you're so perfect, aren't you? You haven't started anything" Mel said causing Star to roll her eyes yet again. “Holy cow Mel! Are you that stupid? You’re the one who started all this and you don’t even care!” With that she shook her head and pushed passed the other girl. She was almost out the door but suddenly stopped and turned.

“You know I’m not the only one who you hurt with your selfish ways.” She knew Mel would be worrying about whom else she had hurt and Starbuck didn’t even care. Her anger was residing but she didn’t want to speak to Mel anymore because she was pound to punch her if this conversation went any further.
