Here is the schedule for next term. Florence, I stretched out the time for charms to be posted since you said your access will be limited. If this puts a strain on anyone else, please let me know and we'll work around it or switch things around.
We will also need someone most likely to fill the Quidditch spot for Amelia just in case she can't do it. Let me know if anyone is willing to assist with the flying lessons and possibly the first game.
Finally, everyone please welcome our new Muggle Studies Professor, Professor Lydia Chambers.
Schedule Pre-Midterm
May 17th – START OF TERM Opening Feast
May 24th HoH Speeches Flying Lessons Quidditch Signups
May 31st Intermediate Lesson - Transfiguration Beginner Lesson - Potions
I should be able to get the Crotalus HOH speech up on time. I am much less certain of being able to keep up with a class, so I'd very much appreciate it if Selina (or whoever) would cover the flying lessons. Thanks!
First match isn't until July, so I'll see how things are going by then before I decide if I can or can't do it.
Regarding matches, would it be possible to not have one involving Aladren be first? That's the only team I'm likely to be involved in as a player so, if there's any possibility of me needing to assist in the match, it would just be easier that way.
I just have one quick question Headmistress...the acceptance letter I got has me listed as the substitute Transfiguration teacher instead of Muggle Studies. Are you going to need me to cover that class as well as my own?
Sorry, that was my fault. I should have proof read everything before sending, but I was in a rush. No, you're just the Muggle Studies Professor. Professor Skies is still the Transfiguration Professor.
I have two parts for my first lesson due to it being a practical lesson for my advanced class. Would it be okay if I posted the lesson in the two separate parts its written in at two different times or would you like me to post them both together at the same time?
Most staff who have two separate parts post them at the same time (sort of like how the challenges were posted). The authors of the students understand that the separate parts happen at different times in that particular lesson. But, if you want to post them separate, it's completely fine. Just make sure they are still under the same original post so as to not confuse anyone.
Outstanding! Thank You. I have one final question and then I'll leave you alone...I promise. Is there an electrical outlet that actually works within the Muggle Studies room? For my Intermediate class I wanted to use something electrical for the Visual lesson.
I wanted to say 'no' as in HP world electrical things didn't work at all and Sonora would have no source to obtain the electricity and not allowing Muggles near them, but I read back at the very first lesson and there seems to have been plugs and electricity.
Here's my thing, we can keep it as close to the books as possible and say there aren't actual working electrical outlets, but you have 'plugs' in the room for students to use and really they are just charmed appliances. (this is the one I would prefer)
Or, you can just do what the first professor did and somehow make the items work with electricity.
