Meeting Summary by Kiva Kijewski

Here is the meeting summary for everyone to have a look over:

The first topic for the day was the Student Tutor Program.

We have some students who are in need of help in certain lessons. There are also many students who excel in subjects. We want to be able to encourage those who excel to help those who are having problems through this program. I’m asking for you as staff to locate students who are having issues and students who are excelling and let me know.

So far, those who are in need of help are:
Angel Shield (all lessons)
David Kim (Transfiguration)
Jethro Smythe (not sure what lessons he needs help in)
Valerie Lennox (due to her illness, she’ll need the extra help in lessons)

So far, those who excel in certain lessons are:
Andrew Duell (Transfiguration)
Marissa Stephenson (Theory of Transfiguration and possibly other lessons)
Ryan O’Malley (Transfiguration)
Nic Sawyer (Defense Against the Dark Arts)
Tawny Brockert (Potions)
Sophie Jamison (Potions)
Dulce Garcia (all subjects)

The second topic of discussion was the plot. This year the plot will be the Midsummer Fair and it will be taking place in Tumbleweed. Tumbleweed has an old western feel to it, so I need help from everyone to decide what sort of store fronts will be on the main street of Tumbleweed where the Fair will be held. If anyone would like to write for a townsfolk, please let us know!

Harvey Tellerman is an award winning banjo player and Simon takes a close second place; they would love to play for the Square Dancing.

Jose is really good at Divinations.

For the main street, there should definitely be a saloon. A General Store. A Bank. A Sheriff's Office. A Hotel. A Telegraph Office? Horse hitches. Railroad station? Post Office? *I'll have to re-watch Alias Smith And Jones again soon, but I think those are the big ones.*

Amelia, the Pierce/Tellermens are always welcomed to perform. Also, it's up to you if you want Jose to be working at the Fair. It's perfectly fine with me.

Dylan - Tumbleweed is an old western town (I'm pretty sure it's written somewhere in the history or something about it being so). But, Tumbleweed is also a moving town, so I'm not sure if a ranch is possible. Someone let me know if you think a ranch can move with the town?

Were you offering Jose for the fair or for the tutoring program? I might have misread your comment the first time around and assumed you were referring to the Fortune Telling for the Fair, but if you were referring to the Tutoring Program, I'll take him happily.

Jose was being offered for tutoring Divination.

I've got other CA Pierce ladies for fortune-telling in a more entertainment-oriented environment (they do it professionally at Rennfaires), if we want them around for the fair.

Other Western Buildings that showed up in a recently watched John Wayne Film (I don't know how many of them are appropriate for Tumbleweed though):
Livery Stable, Funeral Home, Black Smith, Gun Shop, Church

A ranch might work. If the other buildings tumble, the stables probably could as well, and the grazing might even be easier since the horses aren't always in the same field. I doubt that would be on the main street, but it could be on the rolling outskirts of the town.
