“Good afternoon” Selina greeted the advanced class. “Today is your last practical lesson, before we move on to exam revision and practise, so I thought we'd have some fun...
“Throughout history, wizards have decorated using magic. This was probably originally born of a tendency to show off, or perhaps laziness, although it has recently been lauded for its benefits in being environmentally friendly. With the ball coming up, I thought it would be fun to use all that you've learnt in conjuring skills this year to try out some decorations. Of course, there are many other spells outside of Transfiguration that can be used to decorate, but we'll just be sticking to conjuring today.”
Unlike vanishing, where one spell covered everything, the students would know well by now that almost every conjuring incantation was different.
“There are a few spells on the board to get you started, although you can reference the books at the back for more or ideas, or use things we've previously studied to get creative,” the students all had a working knowledge of how to conjure plants, and could also bring forth simple objects like ribbons. There would be a bit of an assembly job involved, but there was no reason why they couldn't adapt some of the things they'd learnt earlier in the year to suit their current purposes.
Behind her the chalk scribbled on the board: Educam papyracea – paper streamers Educam cordone – ribbons All plant spells.
OOC – feel free to make up your own spells too.
