Late! by Professor Wood

She had taken a wrong turn at some point, though to be honest she couldn't quite figure out when- and as such had completly lost her own class.

"Oh, bugger this," she nearly yelled to the heavens when she turned into yet another dead end.

She leaned on the wall and sighed, trying to figure out just where she was. That is, until she turned around and spotted a stair case. The one she had been looking for simply forever.

She walked the steps, and quickly found herself in front of the doorway. She smiled happily, and opened the door, wondering just what she would find inside.

Re: Late! by Sally

"Hello Professor." Sally chirped. This could be fun. She was looking forward to this class. "Do you give yourself detention now?"

She prayed that the professor would have a good sense of humor. Otherwise, Sally was dead. Oh course, detention couldn't be that bad.

So she looked around, and got out her notebook. This was one class she wanted to do well in. Challenges were always right up her aisle.\n\n

Great! by Elizabeth

Elizabeth saw the teacher rush in and sat up properly, pulled out her notebook, and whipped out her wand. She placed both neatly in front of her, her hands folded ontop. She smiled at the teacher, her ebony hair and sapphire eyes sparkle and shine, even in the indoor light.

She was ready to show what she was made of. \n\n

Let the class begin... by Professor Wood

Professor Wood stepped into the room with a grimace as she watched the students act more like insane rats then human beings. Only one had taken out a notebook at her entrence, let alone saw her- but she had also decided that this was a good time for remarks.

Of course, the Professor could hardly blame her- she /was/ incredably late.

Wood forced a smile, "If I had the time, I might have. Sadly I'll have to make up for this, I'm sure. Miss Porter, that is you're name, correct?"\n\n

Another student noticed her, to her great relief, so she took to the front of the room. It seemed class was in session.\n\n

"Yes," she replied nervously. "Is this were I get sentenced to 1000 fly for making sarcastic comments out of turn?"

She crossed her fingers under the desk. No one could be that cruel.

SHe hoped.

"Nah," Wood said with a smile, no longer as forced as before. "I suppose I was far more in the wrong, letting all this happen..."

She noticed that now Elizabeth too was watching her carefully, and smiled. It seemed class was in session.\n\n

Class in session. by Professor Wood

Professor Wood smiled widely as she watched her class; most of whom were still acting like idiots. Tapping her wand on the desk in front of her to catch attention, her name was quickly written on the board with a floating piece of chalk for all to see.

“My name,” she said loudly so everybody would know she was finally there, “Is Professor Wood, and I’m so sorry to be late. I got lost; obviously. Before I start with what we’re going to be doing here, are there any questions?”\n\n

Mia

Question, Professor by Mia

Mia was slightly startled by the professors abrupt appearence to the classroom. She was slightly relieved because boredom was kicking in quickly. Mia pushed her long dark hair behind her ears and got out her book and wand while the teacher began to introduce herself and ask if anyone had any questions.

Mia looked up at the teacher with her bright hazel eyes and smiled brightly.

"Question professor." Mia stated as she raised her hand in the air. "Is it required to call us Miss and Mister in the classroom? I'm just curious." Mia added quickly as an after thought so as not to sound rude.

Mia mentally kicked herself really hard.

'Great job, Mia! You're doing it again!' Mia scolded herself. No matter how hard she tried, she always looked and sounded like she was sucking up to the teacher. Mia blamed her high pitched voice and her overly good organizing skills. She looked up at the professor for a response hoping the professor, or her friends, wouldn't think of her as a suck up.\n\n

Natch by Professor Wood

"Nope," Wood replied simply, to Mia, "Although I know that some of you come from homes where a professor would be expected to treat you as such.

"I would hate to offend any of you, so until I learn you well enough not to offend, I'll follow what politeness dictates."\n\n

Tally

OH, class is starting... by Tally

Tally, who's head had still been laying flat on her arm so that she was watching outside the window, didn't straighten until she heard Sally address the teacher.

Surprised by this, Tally sat straight up, book, parchments, and quill already ready, and pulledh her wand from her robes. When she had heard the door open, she had assumed it was another student.

Tally inwardly giggled when she heard that the professor had gotten herself lost. It seemed as though the Professor should know where the classroom was or else they all were hopeless to it.

She flatened her long brown hair back against her head and her dark green eyes were steadily watching the teacher in front of her.

Charms might be her favorite, but Transfiguration was definitely a close second.\n\n

Okay, now what? by Elizabeth

Elizabeth looked expectantly at the teacher. Late as she might be, Elizabeth presumed that the teacher should have some idea of what was going to happen during their class. Afterall, what kind of class would it be without a lesson plan of somesort? She untied her long raven hair from it's elastic enclosure and let it fall softly around her shoulders and arms.

Alright, now what? she thought rather impaitiently, We've been waiting all this time for the professor and now we've nothing to do except listen to her and that Sally girl talk about 'fly'. Whatever that is... \n\n

Jenna H

very clumsy by Jenna H

Jenna had zoned out as soon as she had opened her potions magazine earlier. So, upon hearing the voice of an adult she jumped in her seat from shock. This made her drop the magazine on the floor, and she rolled her eyes at herself. She didn't inherit her mother's grace, that was for sure. Grumbling about her own klutziness she got out of her seat and crawled on the floor to retrieve the magazine. She picked it up, and began to get up to walk back to her seat- and bumped into somebody. This definitely was not her day.

"Sorry," she apologized, and began to head back to her seat.\n\n

And we will learn...? by Chrissy

Chrissy, who a moment ago had been sitting between Tally and Jenna, began to shake with silent giggles and Jenna jumped when the teacher spoke and fumbled with her magazine. man, that magazine flew far, Chrissy thought with amusement.

She turned her attention back to the Professor and waited patiently as she could to wait for their lesson to begin. I know that you were late, but this is ridiculous, come on, let's get on with it, Chrissy thought as she frowned at the Professor unintentionally.\n\n

Well, are we ever going to? by Elizabeth

Elizabeth sighed deeply. It was bad enough that she was in class again, something she'd deeply detested since her tutor days back at the Lavine Plantation. Almost completely useless for crop generation, the old French Lousisiana manor had held some of the best and worst memories for young Elizabeth, and one of the worst was the endless line of tutors that marched in. They taught her things, and instructed until they were blue in the face, but none of it really intrigued the girl, so she found it utterly boring.

She noticed Chrissy Mathers, a very nice and sensible pureblood girl, and her friend Tally. She knew Tally, but they were little more than aquaintances. They both seemed quite bored. And who could blame them? Elizabeth was bored to tears waiting in the room for the teacher to set up or whatever it was she needed to do before the lesson started. It was bad enough that she had to be in class, but waiting extra amounts of time because of tardiness unglued Elizabeth.

She kept her smile and icy blue eyes focused on being 'polite' as protocol would dictate, but subconsciously Elizabeth twirled her 9 1/2" Elder wood wand in her fingers, itching to get started doing something. Anything was better than sitting around with nothing to do.
