Mia kept her head buried in her arms as if she was sleeping. She probably could've slept until the teacher came if the girls with her weren't talking so loud. Mia didn't hold it against them. In fact, she didn't really care but she was too lazy to lift her head and join the conversation. Mia just listened to the conversation with her head down and a smile on her face.

She only heard bits and pieces of the conversation because she did nod off every now and then. Mia heard Sally come in. She wasn't sure exactly who it was until she heard the accent.

This would be one of thoses times back home where Tori would do something really annoying to wake her up. Mia decided to get up eventually before Tori had the chance.

'Yeah sure I'll get up... when the teacher comes.' Mia thought as she smirked, keeping her head buried in her arms. \n\n

Jen closed her heavy eyelids, hoping not to fall alseep, when she heard the footsteps of the transfiguration professor outside the door. "Everyone get in your seats!" she yelled. "Mia wake up!" Jen yelled as she started shaking Mia. Just then the classroom doors opened...\n\n

Zack hurried down the hallway, cringing to himself by the noise his feet were on the floor. Surely the teacher could hear him coming from inside the room. He checked his watch again and swore to himself. He wasn't late . . . yet . . . but he probably would be by the time he reached that door.

He sped up, threw the classroom doors open and rushed inside, seeing a bunch of people looking at him. His cheeks flushed slightly and he threw himself into the nearest chair, sat up as tall as a 4'3" boy could, looked straight ahead, and tried to look Silent and On Time. He just wished his lungs would slow down and his cheeks would cool down a little.\n\n

A boy... by Tally

Tally had jumped at least three feet in the air when the girl, who she didn't know, started yelling about hearing the professor and told everyone to get in their seats. Luckily, Tally already had been seated and didn't need to worry. But the sudden shout by the girl and the door being flown open and startled her until she felt like she was having a heart attack.

Tally fixed her long-brown hair, which felt like it was standing on end, and looked around to see who had entered. A small boy walked through, looking thoroughly embarrassed and took the seat nearest to him.

Remembering that the only other boy she had spoken to was Jake, and another who had painted her friend, Kade, she was worried about how this one would be. She leaned over her desk so that she could see him better and smiled,

"Hi, I'm Tally Don't worry, you aren't late."\n\n

Sally, jerked awake by the yelling of her friends. Then she saw that it wasn't the teacher, just a boy, and she groaned.

"Did you have to wake me up, just for that?" she asked, yawning, tehn grimaced as she realized how rude that sounded.

I finally made it! by Jenna H

Jenna was lost. Very lost. It seemed she didn't have good finding skills, and could not make her way to Tranfiguration. This was really bad.

Finally, she found a door. Seeing as she had found many other doors that hadn't led her to Transfigurations, she didn't let it get her hopes up. Slowly she turned the handle and smiled as she saw her friends were already there.

She heard Sally groan as she woke up from a nap, then apologize to a boy who had just entered the class.

"Hey guys!" she called out to her friends and- tripped over feet and fell to the ground.

"That was a very grand enterance, I must say," she said sarcastically to herself, and laughed.\n\n

Chrissy laughed as Jenna landed on the ground after tripping over herself. She stood and made her way over to her to help her to her feet.

On her way there, she paused before the boy to introduce herself, "Name's Chrissy Mathers from Aladren." She said with a smile and a wink, hoping to make him feel less awkward. She returned to Jenna and offered her her hand.

"Nice one Jenna, real smooth." She said with a smile.\n\n

Mia, after glaring at Jen for waking her up when it was only Zack that walked in, turned to see that another student came in after Zack. It was Jenna. She was about to say hi when she saw her friend trip and fall. Mia tried to surpress her tired giggling. She was still a bit tired and when she was tired, anything could make her laugh.

"You alright?" Mia asked but was still laughing good naturedly. She watched as a girl she remembered as Chrissy, helped Jenna up.\n\n

ooc: the class doesn't start until the professor says it starts, and I imagine that Wood is going to be very punctual. Professor, if you bother reading down this far, though he doesn't realize it, Zack's muggle digital watch is acting a little weird because of all the magic in the school, which is why he incorrectly thinks he's going to be late. BIC:

Now that initial panic was over that he was about to be thrown into detention for the rest of his natural life, he looked around at all the girls and felt grossly outnumbered. Where were the twins from breakfast that morning (though one was a girl, she might as well be a boy) or that guy from the weird football field?

Still, he gave them all a polite wave, and introduced himself, "I'm Zack."

Elizabeth ran down the corridors, searching for the Transfiguration Classroom. She had heard about Professor Wood's punctuality precept, and getting on a professor's bad side was not on her to do list. Finding the right room, she flung the door open, her raven hair flying back in wisps that fell from her messy bun. She saw Sally, Mia, Tally, and a boy and girl she didnt' know sitting in the room, and slid into a seat next to the boy. She waved to her friends, her ice blue eyes dancing. Grinning, she put her books down on the desk.

"Hi," she introduced herself casually with a smile, "I'm Elizabeth Lavine." \n\n

Climbing on to the nearest seat, she thanked Chrissy as she helped Jenna up from her "graceful fall". Jenna began to listen in on the other conversations, and chuckled at Sally something Sally said to the only boy in the room, Zack.

"What she means is, we don't bite. But some of those other girls, those you really have to watch out for. You never know what they'll do next," she said rather seriously.\n\n

THen she stopped, and cocked her head slightly. "Oh, wait, never mind, that was me and Liz. But really, we won't bite you now. It's not the full moon yet."

She smiled, remembering her prank on Kade. Oh that was a great one, although he seemed to enjoy it. That wasn't her problem, so she just mentally shrugged. There was another girl in the room, Jenna? one of them anyway.

"So," she said, trying to make conversation, "I'm from Pecari, how about everyone else? I know Sally is in Aladren, Mia is a Pecari, and Tally, well I'm not sure, but how about everyone else?"\n\n

Jenna laughed as Sally easily took the cue. It seemed a lot of laughing went on in this school. A nice change from home, where all was very solemn.

"I am Jenna Howard, of Crotalus. Not to be confused with the other Jenna of Crotalus, or the Jenifer in Crotalus," Jenna introduced herself. Honestly, what were the possibilities that three girls with similar/same names would all be in the same house?

Mia watched the whole conversation. Zack had been quiet as the girls continued the conversation on their own. She laughed as she heard about the 3 people to each of the names that were mentioned. Mia didn't feel a need to add to the conversation. It was quite amusing without her.

At the same time, Mia was wondering when the professor was going to show up. She couldn't have been the only one to wonder this. Mia did sort of want class to start because it meant learning more magic and that didn't seem like a bad thing at all. \n\n
