Jordanna Howard

October 31, 2006 9:01 PM
There was a reason that Jordanna Howard- who hadn’t even shown up at her own house’s Quidditch game, and didn’t even like Quidditch that much, for that matter- could be found sporting canary yellow from her robes to the ribbon in her hair. These were Quidditch stands at the finals for Teppenpaw versus Pecari. It wasn’t really the game she was here for, though she might have looked attentive as she observed what a pretty shade of blue the sky was and what pretty dress robes it would make. The blonde Crotalus was here to make a point- Quidditch was better off left to boys, and girls were better off finding other hobbies.

It was okay that girls weren’t good at sports; there were other things to excel at, artistic things like music, painting, or dancing. There were academics to immerse one’s self in, if you so chose. You could involve yourself in the current news; know what’s going on in the world, from fashion to politics. A girl could even learn things like how to run a household (a hard thing by any standards) and everyday household chores. But sports were just dirty things that were best left to the cruder of the sexes.

And don’t worry if you thought her point was thoughtless or sexist- she had her proof. Crotalus, her own house, had lost because they had a girl captain and Teppenpaw had a guy captain. Aladren had lost because they had a girl captain, and Pecari had cocaptains representing both genders- but Ash Craven must obviously be responsible for why they had won. True Aladren had the most boys on the team, but having a female captain had obviously failed them. These were the major reasons why the teen who actually knew very little about the sport had decided the two teams in the championship had made it there in the first place. And now she wore yellow robes in support of Pecari- the team with the greater amount of male players. This team, she thought, would obviously win.

Daintily wiping away at a bead of sweat , disgusted at the heat of the day, she yelled with as much enthusiasm as she could muster (a respectable amount, considering she didn’t like the sport, but not much) she cheered, “Go Pecari!”

Leo Idoya III

November 05, 2006 2:30 PM
Leo wasn't usually a very vocal person; the shouting, cheering, screaming--he usually left that up to his twin--

"GO TEPPENPAW!" he yelled, hands cupped to his mouth, eyes following the yellow speck topped with a mess of dark brown that he recognized as his brother.

--Well, what were you expecting? He hadn't really been able to cheer at all at the Teppenpaw-Crotalus match; he hadn't even wanted to go, really. He had in the end, but whether it was to show support for his house or his twin, no one could really tell. He'd just sat there and watched, a shrewd but dispassionate expression on his face. He'd almost cheered when his twin caught the Quaffle and passed it along, but realized that that probably wasn't the brightest of ideas while sitting with his fellow Crotali, especially after the Tepp Seeker snagged the Snitch.

Now, though, he was free to show all his passion for the game. Next year, he thought, watching the figures whip around the pitch, maybe next year he'd try out. He'd only make reserve Seeker at best, he knew--Crotalus' Seeker was also their Captain, after all--but not flying for an entire year... it made him itchy, in a strange way. And oddly jealous. And a little superior when Crotalus' Seeker failed to catch the Snitch. Again--what were you expecting? This is Leo, after all.

"VIVA TEPPENPAW!" he shouted again, waving a yellow flag energetically.\n\n

Dillon Welsh

November 06, 2006 12:05 AM
This had been Dillon's first year not on the Teppenpaw Quidditch team. He missed it. Quidditch had replaced Soccer for him. It was the one thing he actually did in a social function. But...he really needed to focus on other aspects of his life. And, now that he was sitting here in the stands, watching the game, Dillon was rather happy with his choice. This game was brutal.

Having been so engrossed at the game, Dillon failed to notice those whom he was sitting next to until the kid beside him shouted outloud. Dillon jumped in his seat and turned to look at the kid in what seemed to be a surprised look upon his face. He looked exactly like Gil. Dillon blinked and then turned away. It had only taken him a moment to realize that this kid was Gil's twin. Dillon, being a twin himself, ought to feel ashamed for having such an obvious answer take so long to be worked out.

But, with his attention back on the game, Dillon wished he had continued to stare at the kid beside him. Crack of bone, one girl out. Crack on head, Lizzie out. Dillon's jaw hung open. There was no way that Lexi was the one hitting those bludgers. Lexi...little Lexi...a tepp...they weren't so full of violence as to take out two members of the opposing team...right?

Dillon just...he just couldn't get over it. And, it just make Dillon all the more happier that he was safe on the ground...and in the same house as Lexi. Though, he would have great sympathy for her once the Cravens decide to get back at her. Let's hope the doctor decided to stick around. Not that it looked like he had much choice.\n\n

Eavan and Earl Valentine

November 07, 2006 1:13 AM
"C'mon, Earl! We're gonna be late!" Eavan dragged Earl by his wrist onto the pitch. They were both wearing t-shirts and shorts, though Earl's shirt was white with the Adidas symbol on it and Eavan was wearing a bright yellow shirt with the word 'Teppenpaw' written across the back thanks to Earl's handy spellwork and a book they had found in the library.

"Why do I have to go?" Earl huffed at Eavan's enthusiasm for the Championship. He was still very put off at the fact that his little sister's house has beaten his team for a place in this game.

"Because my team is playing and you love me, right?" Earl grumbled under his breath, but didn't deny the fact. So they found a place in the stands, with Eavan staring at the sky with anticipation and Earl looking rather moody and waving his wand like a fan and making it emit little puffs of cold air.

The players flew into the air and all around cheers went up for each team. Somewhere nearby, Eavan heard a slightly familiar voice yell out "Go Teppenpaw" but she couldn't tell who it was or where it came from. A few minutes late, she heard the same voice again yell out "Viva Teppenpaw!" This time there was no denying who it was: the boy sitting right in front of Earl waving a yellow flag. For a moment Eavan stared at the back of the boy's head in confusion; Gil was on the field...then realizaion dawned and with a smile she leaned over a scowling Earl and tapped on Leo's shoulder.

"Hey! Leo, right? I'm Eavan Valentine, Gil's friend. You a Quidditch fan or are you just here for Gil?" She thought for a moment and then added, "And this is my brother, Earl. He's in your house I think. Right, Earl?" Earl glanced at Leo and nodded, but gave no other indication that anything other than his mood was of interest to him.\n\n
