Hey Manny! by Laurie, Ian, and the Songs
Dearest Headmaster aka Manny aka Kat:I imagine this doesn’t need to be said, but I thought it best to say it anyway.
Ever since I joined Sonora and started my first character in the game, it has been a huge source of entertainment, silliness, vicarious enjoyments, epic lulz and FTWiosity. The site gave me the opportunity to indulge in a hobby that doesn’t always allow for locality, meet some of the best people around, and beef up my grad school application with the addition of: ‘community service consisting of collaborating with fellow writers to encourage the improvement and celebration of creative writing through an online medium.
If there hadn’t been your constant, ever diligent, and goodness knows insanely dedicated presence there to guide the site through the periodic AWOL writer, new school terms, and the occasional yahoo password snafus, I’m fairly certain Sonora Academy would not be the huge soup of Awesomeness it is now.
You’re leaving quite the legacy behind, and I’m just glad that I was able to be a part of it.
So here’s to the ever a-MAZ-ing Kat and her tenure-
Here’s to the shoes left behind for Sadi to step into-
And here’s to Sonora Academy!

Oh my gosh, Julie, you have a beautiful way with words! And to Kat, I one thousand percent agree with everything Laurie has just said. It was under your legacy that I began here, and it is your legacy that made this place as amazing as it is this day! It is a stressful job you had for many years and I want to acknowledge and thank you for that :)Thank you for dealing with our shananigans for the many years.
We shall miss you :)
And good luck to Sadi!

I honestly did. Granted, I expanded on it a bit, describing the community collaborative and character development, etc. When I had my interview, they actually asked me specially about the website and the details and such, and really liked it.So there you go.
