Hurrah, victory by default... Your new word is most beauteous, and I hope to see a plethora of entries, as befit this fine competition - it really doesn't do to have our students not using words when they write!Your new word, and I almost fear to see the uses to which it is put, is defenestration.

*looks behind himself in confusion but doesn't see any adults who might be Connor's father* Who - oh! Me! Dude, I'm from a hippy family in California. Not even my dad is 'Mr. Pierce'. I'm Saul, okay?Anyways, thanks. My author would like to credit Lois McMaster Bujold for her love of that word. And I will credit Professor Flatt for giving me an excuse to use a whole slew of words that I wouldn't otherwise be able to find a context for.
