On Quidditch by Headmaster Bulla

Midterm is approaching, and the fact that teams haven't been sorted out yet is pretty disappointing. I realise that the coach hasn't been around to harry you - and I haven't done much either - but we've been doing this long enough now that you'd think that wouldn't be so needed anymore.

Also, while I'm thinking about this, and in response to the anonymous ooc left on the Quidditch Pitch - have I mentioned I'm not particularly fond of anonymous posts? - which has since been deleted as it was in the wrong place... there was a good reason for the First Years being removed from consideration for Quidditch Teams, and that reason hasn't gone anywhere. First Years are more than welcome to train and practice their Quidditch skills in preparation for that glorious day when they will no longer be firsties, but they won't be getting places on the starting teams unless there is literally no other choice. It's not fair to everyone else to change the rules for some of you.

Ok, onto the teams! Please, I would like to see them sorted out by the end of the weekend approaching. If you've people after a spot on your team and old members who haven't posted at all in the tryouts, despite having their name on the list - replace them. We want people who can and will post, so that with any luck (hint, hint, Amy) the Quidditch Coach will get games up during the second half of the year and they can move along nicely. They've got a week to do something, so that's ample, I should think. Even for me (because, yes, I realise I haven't been posting much myself, these past few weeks).

I'm fairly certain there was more that I meant to post here, but I'm drawing a blank for the moment. Questions? Comments? Riots and tantrums?

I second this notion. Teams definitely need to be sorted out asap. I apologize that I haven't been breathing down your necks this term, but real life situations have been rather complicated and finding time to post has been tricky. We will have games during second term and I expect that all teams should be accounted for by the end of this week, as the Headmaster has requested.

Also, as already stated, first years are still not allowed to try out for teams. It would be unfair for me to allow one house to do it and none of the others so there will be no exceptions made.

Again, I apologize that I haven't been around as much this term as I have in previous terms but as I said real life has been hectic at best. I'm lucky to get a couple of hours here and there on the computer and those hours are rarely consecutive.

So, please have teams up pronto. :) I know you can do it and I know that try-outs have been going on for a while. I've been keeping tabs on the pitch even if I haven't been able to post. Alright, with that said, I'm off.
