My end of course exams start next week, so I won't be around Sonora as much. If I'm in a post with you, I'll catch up as fast as I can, promise!

Laurie and Renaye: You can go ahead and keep going without me in the Crotalus post. I'll make sure to keep up, but feel free to go on without me.

. . .excepting for the whole exam thing. Those are long done; now it's just waiting on finding a job (other than my current temp one) and deciding if I want to go to grad school or wait until I'm more of age to do so.

Hmm. . .to be 19 and a college grad; I feel like being irresponsible and spending the summer at the beach. Maybe work on a cruise ship?

Anyway, good luck on the exams, to both of you guys.

You're 19 and graduated from college? Wow, you must have stocked up your AP credits or something.

I'm starting up with AP classes next year... Hope its not to brutal =/

That's amazing. I want to do that too, but since I have limited AP classes...

Oh, and Renaye, it depends on the AP class you take, the school, and the teacher. For example, this year I took AP World History. There are a lot of years to cover, 8000 BC(E) to 2008 AD (CE), and we didn't get through them all. Next year I'm taking AP US History, which has less years to cover, so we should be able to cover all the material. It just depends on what you take ^_^

AP Literature I hear isn't too bad. I don't hear good things about the teacher, but the class isn't that bad. My math class, I also hear, is mostly Algebra 2 review and then some new stuff, so it shouldn't be too bad, but the teacher is tough.

Don't think it should be too bad, but with AP Lit I'm expecting lots of essays...

. . .it's not really anything too exciting. My mom, hippie that she was, had my brother and I in an alternative learning primary school and then we moved, had to test out for our grade levels and we sort of jumped. I started the eighth grade at age ten- my older brother started as a junior at age fifteen.

It's not so much that either of us was extraordinarily smart or anything; just had great schooling. Incidentally, I refused to take AP in high school- only took dual enrollment classes my senior year. Was totally the way to go.

That is what I call schooling! I went to a private school until high school, but wow, your school makes a private school sound public! haha

That is majorly cool. I'm stuck at a charter school that goes from 8-5 and sometimes had required Saturday schools. *laughs* That just sounds awesome! Oh, and I found time to reply.

It was definitely different. There were no assigned classes or teachers; no real subjects, actually. Every three weeks, I sat down with an 'educational counselor' and decided upon what I wanted to learn about. My brother was a complete egg head, and I worshiped him, so luckily enough, I always chose pertinent things. That's why we had to test out. No grades, no classes. . it was a hot mess.
