Speed Racer by Laurie

I don't know how many of you remember the cartoon import Speed Racer, but I grew up on the show. My mom felt for a large part of my childhood that cable television was poison for a still shaping mind, so my older brother and I only got to watch things on VHS. Speed Racer was one of our favorites.

And let me tell you, the Wachowski brothers must have been hardcore fans. The movie was everything the animation was and then some. I'm going to see it a second time on IMAX this weekend, so enraptured am I. Definitely recommend it to anyone who once watched it- and to anyone who just enjoy an excellent movie movie. Deserves the big screen for sure.

Resemblance. by Irene

My dad has been told many times that he looks like Speed Racer! Funny thing is, he races for a hobby which doesn't help the image.
