Yearbook Photos Taken by Tally Adams
Alright, I've updated the list of taken celebrities/models/images for the yearbook. If you've decided to change who you have, pleae let me know by replying to this with the name of your new person and a picture (though, please try to limit this because I spend quite a lot of my time sorting through pictures trying to find the perfect ones and upload enough photos until the student graduates. The less time I have to do this for those who change their celebrities, the better).New Authors, if you have trouble finding pics of someone who you think would be a great fit for your character, check out some sites like gettyimages or new faces and see if you can find anything there. If you're still having trouble, post your character's description on here and people will do their best to help you look.
Please, please, please try to find people who resemble your character not only in looks but in age. I cannot tell you have difficult for me it is to locate pictures for eleven year olds based off of 30 something year old actors. It's time consuming and very stressful on me. So please, stick to celebrities or models who are more of your characters age than their parents.
Thanks.

Yearbook photos by Elly Eriksson
We all appreciate how much work you guys put into the yearbook, and you always produce a fantastic result. It seems harsh that you have to spend so much time looking for photos for all the students. Would it make it easier on you if we each selected a couple of photos for our characters and sent them to you? That way, you would have far less work to do, and you wouldn't have any of those complaints that the pictures chosen didn't meet the authors' expectations. Just a thought.

Um... by Tally
Not really. I've had people send me photos before but they aren't really what you would actually see in a yearbook (ie: long distance shots) and it would still mean work for me to do.As of right now, everyone who is a 2nd year and up is set on pictures until their 7th year with me (unless they go changing their pictures on me). I put up the disclaimer on the pictures so that authors understand that nothing will be perfect and they can either accept that or, if they feel strongly about it, leave their characters out of the yearbook.
Which reminds me, if someone really doesn't want to be included in the yearbook, just let us know and we'll scratch you off our lists.
The only thing that I'm really asking for is that the new first years select people who are age appropriate. It's much less of a hassle in the long run that way.

Posting for Andy James' author as well by Ian Grimm
Hiya Tally-Because you do such an amazing job, and because we are both in super awe, Andy's author (handily my roommate) and I tried to think of a way we might be able to give, should you choose to, a more direct avenue to find pictures of our chosen representatives. Andy's author had the brilliant idea of making an easy to reach album on photobucket.
Which then led me to trolling all over to find a nice selection of photographs that matched the types you so often used, plus spanned a seven year range in age. (Hopefully) So, hope it helps.
Andrew James is based on Billy Gilman
An example (fun) photograph:
And an example of a yearbook photograph:
The website that I found most of the photos is here.
And then here's the photobucket album.
Ian Grimm is based on Max Thieriot:
Here's a fun picture of Ian:
Here's a yearbook friendly picture of Ian:
I found most of the pictures here and here
As with before, there's also the photobucket album available for you.
Hope that can make it a little less work and little more play for you! Thanks!
*Incidentally, neither of the characters have blue eyes, but both Andy's author and I felt that since the photos are in black and white, that shouldn't much matter.*

I'd like Lacy Chabert for Jera Valson - in her cute & innocent stage (rather than the cover girl for Maxim stage she's in right now).An example pic:

My picture by Amelia Smythe
Okay, so I know my sister, Cecily, has already claimed Britney, but we are sisters. Plus I'm blonde and she's brunette, so it's okay that we share the same celebrity, right?
(I had a really cute blonde pic of Britney saved on my other computer... might rellocate that one day)

Complications by Tally
I realize that you want your characters to look alike because they are related, but last year we had the same request for someone to share a celebrity and we turned them down. I can't make exceptions to the rule. If you want someone to resemble Britney, there is always her sister, Jamie Lynn, who is a close resemblance to Britney.Sorry if this isn't what you were hoping for. But, if I say yes to you, I have to say yes to anyone and then it just gets complicated.

Not the same by Amelia
I know there were two characters who wanted the same celebrity last year, but they were two unrelated characters - this is totally different, seeing as Cecily and Amelia are sisters. After all, twin sisters are allowed the same celebrity, are they not?I know the yearbook is your thing, so in essence it belongs to you. But the characters belong to their authors, and should be able to have a say in the picture used. I have folders fulls of pictures for Cecily (brunette Britney) and Amelia (blonde Britney) that I would be happy to send your way. \r\n\r\n

It is the same by Tally
Yes, they weren't related, but the issue is still the same. Twins are obviously going to be able to use the same celebrity because they are identical twins. They are exactly the same in every physical way. That would be hard to show if they used different people. Sisters, however, are different.Finding pictures of Britney is not an issue. She's one of the most searched celebrities and the photographers are happy to oblige to the public's request to see more of her. My issue is the fact that they are not twins but you want them to basically be just that. Resembling someone is fine. Sharing their exact same face, body, etc. when they aren't identical twins (or fraternal, for that matter) wouldn't work.
We're not trying to deny you guys your right to choose for your character, but we're trying to have a field where it makes sense. 11 year olds with 5 o'clock shadows is not realistic and neither are two people who share the same exact face but were not born of the same egg.
Like I said to Elly, if you don't like how things are being worked out for the yearbook, then you don't have to be in it. That's your call. Or, Nicoletta and I don't have to use our freetime into creating the yearbook, if people so choose to have it that way. We enjoying doing this, but not if it's going to cause conflict between everyone.\n

Thanks by Amelia
Thanks for the suggestions, Renaye, but I can't load either of those pics!I guess using Jamie Lynn would be okay. I just found the Britney pictures while I was looking for Cecily, and they fit with the idea I already had of Amelia. So at the time it seemed reasonable to me to use the same celeb with different hair colours. And coz I've had that image of Amelia for so long now, it's just frustrating to have to change it. I suppose I don't really mind the idea of using Jamie Lynn instead, but it's just not what I originally had in mind, is all. And I have some really great pictures of Britney that just scream Amelia to me, and all the ones I Googled of Jamie Lynn are of a sweet, smiling girl or a pregnant teenager - neither of which are especially representative of my character. But maybe I'm just being too picky - it's only for the yearbook, after all.
So if the yearbook staff are happy to fish out a pic of Jamie Lynn (preferably not looking too sweet & innocent) that would be great, thanks.

Another suggestion. You said you can't upload them, but they are good pictures. All you need to do is right click on the 'CANNOT SHOW PICTURE' line where the picture is supposed to be and click on properties. in the info part it shows the address and then you can just copy and paste. Just trying to help. Might be useful.
