About the Guide... by Stephen

Just in case anyone was wondering, there will be a new guide. I'm about halfway through writing it (made the mistake of deciding to start from scratch) and it's taking a bit longer than I thought to get it all done. Had meant to have it all done by the weekend just past, but clearly that didn't happen! Anyhow, just letting those interested know that there will be one, it just might be a few more days before it's ready.

Maybe a week.

But wts is right on time! by Sorrel

Well... unsurprisingly, as it's not really something that we have to update, but just thought I'd give it a plug, in case we have keen diarists not signed up...

Wedded To Sonora is an online community where you can write what happens to your characters outside of term time. Join the community, and post posts to our community page, and write diary entries in your own journal!

We ask that, if you have an existing personal gj, you create a separate one for wts, so to ensure that your own diary entries don't get mixed in with your characters'. I'm sure we'd both prefer it that way...

For any up coming firsties who are keen to participate, that's great. We really look forward to joining the community. However, we do not accept the journals of new first years until Midterm. We look forward to approving your diaries then though!

Yeah...about that... by Tally

GJ isn't allowing for new journals to be created. We're going to have to figure something out for incoming students if they want to participate in WtS.

A tenative, pieced-together answer... by Catherine

Apparently, GJ's main database went kaput some time ago and it's running on a backup one. I fooled around a little with the Raines one last night when it refused to let me use any of the icons (as I noticed Pepper's came up on her diaries, I'm guessing default icons are still showing up even though the icon-selector button is gone), and not much is working. The News Community commenters seem to think the whole thing is about to break down.

Yeah... by Stephen

I've just done some nosing around myself, and then - in a fit of worry - backed up everything I could. So I've got a pretty complete copy of my personal GJ's and the community on my computer now. Just waiting to see what the mods decide about where to go now...

So... by Catherine

Called Anne's author, and she says she's sure she's also got a copy of all the public posts except any from today saved to one of her Sonora files, so I'm going to go get the User Info from my journals copied and trust y'all to have the rest of it between you.

A good way to archive... by Stephen

... is this programme: LJ Archive. Because GJ is an LJ clone, you can use it for both.
