ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! by Elly Eriksson

Or all those present at the ball, anyway.

There is a prankster in your midst, targeting your drinks! Nothing nasty, just a bit of fun.

If you want more info, read the more recent threads in the Hall - though if you're a bit short of time, the bit I've copied & pasted below should be sufficient to clue you in ;)

Lowering her voice a tone or two, Elly held her parcel in front of her, and looked mischievously between her two friends. “I ordered these a few weeks ago, especially to use at the ball,” she began. “It’s genius! And almost completely untraceable!” Not wishing to keep her friends in suspense any longer, Elly started to explain the product. “Okay, there are these little tablets, and they look just like breath mints – they even come in breath mint packets so if teachers find them we won’t get into trouble! But they’re not mints, of course – they’re like fireworks for drinks. Some of them turn your drink rainbow coloured, some give off purple smoke, and some of them make your tongue change colour!” There were other effects too – Elly had ordered an assortment from one of the many catalogues to be found lying innocently around the Pecari commons. “They’re totally safe – no weird additives or anything, just your everyday potions ingredients, but made into tablet form.” Although she wanted a fun prank, Elly wasn’t going to risk the potential debacle of some students having an unpleasant reaction to her party trick. As it was, the product claimed to be side effect free, and so Elly felt it was safe. Still, her friends’ opinions were of utmost important – she wouldn’t go along with it if she didn’t have their support. “What do you think?”

Elly's team of light-hearted pranksters all said yes and they are now circulating through the hall, subtly wingardium leviosing those little pills into your drinks.


But Elly.... in our little thread we're doing this BEFORE Manfred's speech, but a lot of people already wrote that part. Would it make sense for us to write in the speeches in our thread and THEN do this?

Yay for fuzzy time confusion.

I did a post with Bulla's speech in already, and then said I'd do the rounds for the drinks after the food. Is that what you're asking?

Ok to clarify - apart from Caedence and Irene (who were fortunate enough to be sitting close enough for their drinks to have been fireworked already) everyone else will have to wait til after the food.

K, that makes sense to me right now... if it's just the kind of weird sense that's nonsensical, let me know :)

Well I haven't specified a time, but they'll last long enough for the drinker to see the effects (otherwise what would be the point?)

I left it open for authors to decide what happens to their drink and whether it lasts just a couple of seconds or whole minutes - it's up to you.

Okay, well, another valid point - yes, they go off fairy immediately - the tablets react with the liquid to set off the firework *nods*

But as I said before, it's really up to you - I provide the fireworks, it's up to you to provide the fun ;)
