Question about classes [tag professors] by Rilla White

I have a question that has been nagging at me. What is a student to do if they reply to a class but no one adds to their thread? Should they move and start adding to another students? Wait patiently? Is it alright to reply to your own thread without someone else between? I do not want to spam but I'd like to be active. Also, how might we better contact others who we are role playing with in classes? Is there only the Questions and Comments area here or is there something I am missing? Thank you for all your help and patience. I hope it is alright to post such an inquiry here, I am dreadfully new and inexperienced.

If you respond to a class but nobody replies to your thread, you can leave it, or you can reply to your own thread. Sometimes it just takes time for authors to unravel themselves enough from RL to attend classes. If you think it's been too long for that to be the reason or would rather just move on a bit, yes, you can respond to your own response to the class. Remember, everything you do in a class will earn your House points!

So far as talking OOC to other authors, there is this board. You can also stick small notes within your IC post at the beginning or the end if you have a quick question to ask or something small that you would like to share or that you feel might need clarification. Other than that (like so far as sharing IM screenames or e-mail adddresses) I don't know the policy except that you are not supposed to post anything containing such personal information.

... you can make a GJ for your character too, and include your IM screen names there if you want people to be able to IM you. You're also able to send messages to other people via GJ. So far there isn't really a way to privately message people on the disc apps.

Oh, and if you join the wiki you're able to send messages and comments to other authors too.

According to your advice I have joined both GJ and the wiki. Hopefully this will help me get to know the rest of Sonora better. Thank you for directing me to them.

thanks by Rilla White

Thank you Professor for your assistance. I have now replied to my own post in Charms and may do so in Defense Against the Dark Arts. My best posts, and alas, no response. Oh well. It's possible I didn't leave an obvious "opening". I am new to things here so I feel a bit, out of place still. Oh, and house points are good motivation. Who wouldn't like to see their house get points?
