Question! by Helena

How are schedules at Sonora theoretically set up? Would the students take every class every Monday-Friday (the American system as I know it) or different classes on different days of the week (similar to the French/Hogwarts system)?

Thanks in advance for indulging me in my nitpickiness.

Tentative Answer by Nikki

There are usually only one or two posted lessons per class per term, so I don't know if it really matters, but I believe it's like the Hogwarts system.

By the way, some schools in America, such as my hiigh school, do not have every class every day.

In General, I believe Sonora follows the Hogwarts style of classes. However, in the realm of RPing, it's really difficult to give each class a set time or day. It is generally best to avoid giving posts where you state something such as the following:

Amy Fox looked over her schedule and groaned. She was going to have Care of Magical Creatures on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Potions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Instead, I'd suggest doing something along the lines of:

Amy Fox looked at her schedule. She quickly noticed that she was going to be taking courses in Care of Magical Creatures and Potions.

BUT- it also all depends on the professor. Some of them state, such as myself, that classes are on certain days when they put up their lesson. Flying Lessons, for instance, are always held on Saturdays, usually either before or after lunch.

Other professors, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

And.... by Saul

This is just me, but unless otherwise specifically stated (like, Prof K says her older classes come after her younger classes, so I definitely don't have her first), I usually assume that whichever teacher posts their class first, I had before those that post later. But that may or may not be internally consistent with other characters.

I pretty do what Saul does. Sometime lessons and/or previous posts have clues in them, like someone saying that they overslept and had to run to class is probably the first one of the day, or the professor saying that they were agitated because they skipped lunch.

Usually, it doesn't matter...if no one has said anything about a time during a previous post, then you could always go for it if you need your potions class to be right before lunch or something to suit your storyline.

Umm, I have heard enough about Fox to be worried about a class with her on a Saturday. Isn't she kind of.. well, evil?

Nah by Geoffrey Spindler

She's awesome. She just has this thing about the press. And... well, a few other things. But seriously - how often do you have the chance to be coached by someone who actually played professional Quidditch?!

Oh and my cousin thinks she's pretty cool too.
