Once upon a time, there was a struggling juggler by the name of Popo. Poor Popo fought his way through the throngs of aspiring jugglers all his life. His parents ridiculed his ambition, telling him that just because he could handle three lemons at once, didn't mean that he could make lemonade from them. His ex-partner sabotaged his audition before the Queen, hiding his underwear from him. Even Popo's dog, Durry, held nothing but scorn for the ball-tossing entertainer.
It came to be that Popo finally found himself in the upper eaves of a grand Cathedral one late summer night. He planned, after giving his Confession, on ending it all by attempting to juggle seven swords at once. One of them, he was sure, was bound to impale him and finish the job the sad fates had tried on him thus far. But as he knelt in the dust and sludge, he caught site of something inscribed on the wall. He wiped his finger to remove some of the dirt, and then squinted as he spoke aloud the word.
"Ma-laprop-ism. Malapropism."
A great beaming garland of light struck through the stained glass window above him and shrouded him in hazy twilight hour sunshine. Revelation! thought Popo the juggler. He now knew what his life was intended for- the greatest of all juggling secrets was waiting for him.
"I must find the malaprops and show my mastery of them. I will not rest until I juggle the malaprops!"
And so with that, Popo left the cathedral, and missed entirely the snickering school children gathering up their bets from the pew behind him. He was off on his grand quest: the Quest for the Juggling Malaprops!
Your word of the Week is 'Malapropism.' Now, make this fun. Make this creative. And think outside the box. Bye-bye!
