The first day of Spanish Honors, my teacher is going on (in Spanish, of course) about rules and regulations, when all of the sudden she starts motioning to the backside of her hand and saying "Umbridge". She then goes on to talk about how we all have different learning styles - some of us are Ravenclaws, others are Slytherins.

Today during class, in order to get people to put down their pens, she starts pointing at students and yelling "Expelliarmus!" (anyone who refused was of course threatened with the use of a Levicorpus spell.)

Now, Spanish has never been my favorite class, but that is subject to change this year. I do feel bad for the non-Potter fans in my class, however, as they probably don't understand half the jokes.

As you can probably tell, since I am french, my author takes french. However her teacher thinks harry potter is dumb. How we wish our teacher was more like yours\n

That is the most hilarious thing ever!!! All my spanish teacher does is make us do gestures with the words, for examples, we have to wave our arms like chickens when saying El Pollo, and do the Hay, Entonces, De Repente and Al Final tango. It's quite weird actually. I want your teacher!

Yeah, so I copped out (or is it copted out?) and took American Sign Language, and my teacher used to throw this bean bag thing at us anytime we spoke instead of signed.

Took his class for three years and he never got in trouble for it.

And I thought I was bad! I had a student today out of his seat, fraternizing with another student during group work.

Student: I was here the whole time. Really.

Me: Oh, really? So you were invisible before?

Student: [seriously] Yes.

Me: Well, I need you to put your invisibility cloak away and focus on your own group.

Student: [mimes putting invisibility cloak in his bookbag]

Me: Thank you. If it happens again I'm going to confiscate the cloak and you'll have to have your parents pick it up in the office.

[later]

Me: [leading student away from the other group] I'm confiscating your invisibility cloak.\r\n\r\n

I had a teacher in fifth grade who used to throw chalk at us if we put our heads down in class and he never got in trouble for it. But he was the coolest teacher in school so even if you knew about the chalk, you still wanted him as your teacher.

*sighs* Fifth grade...I- *author bites tongue before she's scolded for saying she feels old*

As for Jenna's comment: My Brit. Lit. teacher made us do a small essay on who our fictional heroes were and he spent the class telling us about how Harry Potter is his all time hero. And he was dead serious about it too.

Where were all the cool teachers when I was young, impressionable and still in school?

Oh, wait... *remembers*

I want a teacher like thatttt! My Spanish teacher is awesome, really, but a HARRY POTTER Spanish teacher?? Come on! Who doesn't want that? *is transfering to your school* *hopes it's not too far away*

This is so funny... How did the people react?

What do you teach? If you teach high school I am definitely moving to... wherever you are. And we'll move Jenna's school there too so her Spanish teacher can join us.

I seriously hope you gave his cloak back. Those are rare and expensive! *grins*

I teach 9th and 10th grade English in the USA, but I can't tell you where because this is the OOC board.

*winks* The kid will get his cloak back when his parents pick it up from the assistant principal, preferably the mean one.

No way!! Ahh! I want to be in your class! I'm in 10th grade and my english teacher hasn't been doing much at all... =/

Ah well. He better hope his parents pick it up! We do the same thing with iPods and cell phones and all electronic stuff.

... wouldn't it be weird if you were in my class and our characters started dating? I mean... weird like whoa weirdness (and more weirdness: you'd know how I write outside of class with my crazy Brett/Echo phrases--thanks a lot guys). And then you'd grumble at me on the OOC boards: "I'm not posting tonight because Echo gave me too much homework! Thanks a lot, Echo. The essay you assigned about suspense and "The Monkey's Paw" is so boring! :-("

And I'd reply, "Nah! Suspense is many things, but boring isn't one of them."

Brett: [rolls his eyes] She's trying to say having a Sonoran in class would be sort of mad freaky. She'd pull a total Echo.

Echo: Hey! I represent that remark.

Brett: True that.

Wow... Never thought of that. That would be really really awkward. Haha, I can definitely see me doing something like that OOC post!

"Sorry I can't post too much lately... SOMEONE, not mentioning names Echo, assigned a 8345728356892 page essay."

It would be kind of weird now that I think about it... =\\ Plus you'd be able to point out my grammatical errors (I'm not even sure if I spelt grammatical right...) in my posts to me xD.

Here's my counter post:

"I can't post tonight because someone, no names Irene, wrote five billion pages instead of the 500 words I asked for and now I have to read her novel so I can grade it... F: Does not follow directions. Nevermind, that was pretty easy."

And as far as grammatical errors go, trust me, it would go both ways:

You'd raise your hand in class, "But Ms. ___________, that's not how you use colons on Sonora!"

hahaha! I have a feeling it would be pretty awkward/funny. But there is some truth in you reply post! I was suppose to write a four page paper on my opinion about the JFK shooting and it turned out to be twelve =/ Ah well.

I have a feeling it would take me a lot longer to post too, searching for errors you made and I made!
