Elly Eriksson

This is aimed at Echo, Irene & her cousins, Brett, Meredith, Caedence, Matt, Derek, Jae, Hyana, Oliver -

Irene & Echo organised a big Quidditch game over the summer and were planning on inviting all those listed above. If you think your character was contactable by either Irene or Echo or Elly, and you were free about a week before the start of the new term, feel free to say you came along.

The details are on GJ and it might still be posted IC, but seeing as the new term has started, it might affect those inter-character reactions (like whether you saw your roommate last week or months ago).

Those who definitely attended are Irene, Renaye & Josh, Echo, Brett & Elly. If you wanna reply whether you came or not that might make it easier.

Sorry to mess up the OOC board with this - we sort of ran out of time :)

I would say that, yes, Matt was able to go. His parents are pretty easy going. If a fireplace was available, he would have floo-ed in with his mom (who would have floo-ed right back to whatever family member's house they were currently staying at) or used a portkey.

Josh is feeling very neglected, by the way. *Grins*\n

Poor Josh. Well he's very welcome to come along. He sadly is feeling the effects of not being a Pecari. Nothing against Josh, it's just that one presumes we know Matt better (especially Echo, as they share a room).

There is a fireplace to floo to at Irene's, which is where everyone is meeting/met (I'm getting all tense-confused now). So cool :D

Nah, Josh wouldn't have come along unless asked directly. Besides, he likes to watch Quidditch, not play it.

Meredith

Mere is all over this. Especially after her nightmarish summer. (yes, she tends to over exaggerate) Mere would be so psyched for some Quidditch and to see normal people again when she finally got back from Ms. Corona's School for the Creation of Zombie Princesses.

Oh this would be awesome to do IC, but the new year has begun and we ought to be there. I might be able to get a little something of a return on WTS, if it isn't too late for that. *author thanks the Powers That Be for the weekend, but curses them for school*

Hey guys! I'm posting a things on WTS, for all those who want to post. It's not up yet but it should be soon. You don't have to post. If you want to read along or something, just so you have an idea of what went down.

Question, how do you do the whole link to the post thing? I always end up with a huge displayed post thing.
0 Irene Hello! 0 Irene 0 5

Mere

September 06, 2007 8:54 PM
That would be an lj-cut that everyone's using for the sake of space. It's pretty easy.

< lj-cut text="This is what goes in those parenthesis you see instead of your entire post, like a title." > This is your post that will be hiding behind the link. < /lj-cut > And that's that.

Of course you do it without the spacing. HOWEVER, there is a space between 'lj-cut' and 'text'.

Sonora has a long proud history of multiple students with the same names or similar names. Some of these people have left. They also tend to be in the same house and occasionally the same year or both.

There are or were:

Two Adams (Different years and houses)
Two Geoffs (Same year, different house)
Two Lilas (Same year and house, one gone)
Two Jennas (Same year and house, one gone and their roommate was Jennifer)
Two Joshes (Same house, different years)
Two Gwen/Gwyns (Different years and houses. Gwyn prefers her full name Gwyneth. Hopefully is still around)
Two Merediths (Different years and house, one might be gone)
Two Benjamins (Same house, different years and nicknames)

Then there are Connor and Saul Pierce, no relation, but different years and the same house.

Not sure if the link thing worked, but its a big long post you can just reply to.

Sorry about some of the family drama stuff. I had that planned for the summer and I took the opportunity.

Someday, when I have a ton of time on my hands and am in the mood, I'm going to look at all the names at every school, plus peripherals and see which names have been used often.

The name "Amelia" seems to pop up a lot, among peripherals especially, for example.

You do however have the first Irene and Renaye that I've seen.

I've noticed

Lily's grandmother(and middle name)
Catherine's grandmother
Saul's distant cousin
Coach Fox's full first name
Your sister (Yes, I think I knew that from somewhere)

There was someone else but I can't remember right now.

There's nothing wrong with it, it's just something I've noticed.

Strangely...

I believe I'm actually more closely related to Amelia than I am to Simon. Either that or they're about the same and Simon is more closely related to her than to me. It's due to fewer generations since a common ancestor and the closest between the three of us is DP1. And I'm more generations removed than they are, seeing as I'm descended from his first kid that he had when he was 18 instead of his third that he had when he was in his thirties (Simon), or his fourth that he had when he was in his forties (Amelia).

Of course, due to the illegitimacy of the first three kids, the New Hampshire branch insists Amelia's grandfather was DP1's firstborn and the rest of us don't exist, so we don't much acknowledge them either.

From what I understand, isn't Amelia not really acknowledged by the New Hampshire branch either now?
11 Kaylie Yours is...very complex. 43 Kaylie 0 5

Saul

September 10, 2007 3:59 PM
No, she's not anymore. But she was born to them, so she's closer to acknowledgment than us Californians are.
