Alright folks, this year Sonora is going to try and accomplish a complete Quidditch tournament between the houses. In order to do this, I am going to need the cooperation of everyone, especially the team captains. We will be sticking to a tight schedule as I want to get in four games before the final championship, the final game being played between the teams with the highest points.

As stated previously, NO first years will be allowed to tryout for the teams this year. No matter how much practice a student may have gotten before their first year, it has now been determined by the staff that students must complete their flying lessons before they are allowed to tryout for the team.

The Quidditch schedule for this year will be as follows:

1. Each team's captain(s) must have their sign-up sheet up by this Friday, September 7th at the latest. It would be preferred for captains to get them up on the first day of term.

2. Sign-ups will only last ONE WEEK. Captains must have their tryouts up on the pitch by the following Friday, September 14th. Students may still come to tryouts even if they don't manage to put their name on the sign-up sheet before the tryouts are put up. These students will be considered 'walk-ons' to the tryouts.

3. Tryouts will last for a maximum of TWO WEEKS. At the end of these two weeks, the team captain must announce their team. This list must be up by Sunday, September 30th.

4. The first two team matches will go up directly following the announcement. Each game will only last TWO WEEKS. There must be two games completed by midterm in order for us to complete this plan.

Captains, I hate to do this, but if you get too far off of schedule, you will have to be replaced. If you don't think you will have the time to do this, please let me know so we can find another team captain who can do this.

I realize that everyone is busy with Real Life, but we need to get through tryouts and the posting of teams rapidly so we can get on to the games. This year is definitely going to be a fun one in terms of Quidditch.

Captains, please respond below so I know that you have read it. Everyone- if you have any questions or concerns, please voice them below. I can't wait until the new term!

I've read it and I have one question.

What happens if we don't get a full team? Tepps have been known to be less than excited to play for the team.

I've read it. Sounds excellent. Aladren sign-ups should be up sometime around five p.m. tomorrow, give or take thirty or so minutes.

If that happens, we'll address the situation. We should have a pretty good idea of how things will be by the time the tryouts go up. If it looks like the numbers are low, we'll determine if first years can-- potentially-- be admitted.

I hope it will be fine though. If the players from the previous years sign up, everything should work out.

First team to be properly filled - posted, etc - will get fifteen points for their house. Ten for second, five for third. Zilch for fourth.

There's going to be a few other ways you can get more points for your house this year (other than the traditional winning of games and attending of classes), and maybe, just maybe, there might be something Shiny for the winning house when the end ticks around once more ;)
