Nope, you can't randomly show up at tryouts. If a first year ends up on the team, the team will get disqualified. Can't have any first years getting injured on the pitch.As to the question about what you're supposed to do for a whole year, no clue. You can fly during Flying Lessons and, after you've received the go ahead from me, fly during your own free time.
