Fifth and Sixth years by Headmaster Brockert
Another year was almost over. Soon the concert would be performed and then it would be summer. Mortimer was not particularly looking forward to either. Okay, so he looked forward to seeing the Aladren and Teppenpaw acts, because Emerald and Ruby were in them. However, the event was something that-presumably-the majority of parents would be at. A good many of which were important members of pureblood society, which meant scmoozing. Which was the reason why he hated summer too.Not to mention that meant Mortimer probably actually had to say more than welcome and this is such and such act when he introduced the concert. He was not planning to say much more than that.
There was also the possibility that some parents would complain to him about something or other that was not his fault and/or that he didn't want to deal with.
For the most part though, Mortimer was more pleased about the Head Student ballot this year. Emerald had made it and even the Pecaris that weren't as bad as some of the others in their house.
Once the fifth and sixth years were assembled, Mortimer rose and began to speak. "I trust that you all know why you are here today, to pick who will be the next Head Boy and Head Girl of Sonora next year. " With that the ballots were dispensed.
