Several years ago, before Mortimer had become the school Headmaster, they had done these team challenges. Apparently, it was a popular enough idea that it had come up again for this year. As there wasn't too much he could think of to do with a bonfire-in the sense of how to make it special other than maybe burning all the satoris of the world-he supposed it could be just one of those things that was like a big party after the events.To make matters even easier on him, Isis decided to make the list instead of him having to do it. What a good little underling she was! Mortimer himself hadn't really bothered to look over the list beyond making sure that nobody had unfair advantage in terms of having more older students than others. He didn't care so much if people were with their friends or anything and if they didn't like their teams, they could complain to Isis.
So a few weeks into the term, a special announcement went up.
School Wide Challenges
In order to build up school unity after the events of last year, three challenges will be issued. These three events will be about how well you work together as a team.
Additionally, there will be no Quidditch games this year, though teams should still be formed and practice together to maintain continuity and prepare for next year's regular season." .
Of course, Mortimer didn't really care about such things as school unity, but it sounded good.
