Possibly even more anxiety inducing than the CATS that students took their fifth year were the RATS they took their seventh. Yes, they tended to have fewer subjects to be examined in but the tests were naturally harder. Still, they were very important to the futures of most of the students and would help them on their ways to successful careers.
With the exception of Roland Ashburn, all of the examiners from CATS had stayed around to monitor the seventh years taking their RATS. Unfortunately for the students, that included Nanette Langdon. With her sharp looks and cold eyes, she was rather intimidating and for those who were especially nervous about their exams, having her as their examiner did not help matters much.
Fortunately, there was also David Weatherby. He was considered the most fair of all examiners and most students hoped to get him as theirs. Despite his age, most of the female students also found him good looking with his lean posture, vibrant green eyes and salt and pepper hair.
While the females found Mr. Weatherby attractive, the males had Aurora Septentrion to look at. She was a young woman with long blonde hair that she wore down blue eyes and a petite frame. Ms. Septentrion had an air of friendliness and warmth that would hopefully put students at ease. Still, she was not easily taken for granted as she took her duties as examiner quite seriously.
In the morning, theoretical exams took place. Once the students had gathered and anti-cheating quills were handed out, Ms. Langdon addressed the group, fixing her penetrating gaze on the group. "Spells are in place to prevent cheating and anyone who does so will fail their exams and be removed from the room. If you finish early, sit quietly and do not disturb your peers. You may begin."
Practical exams were to happen in the afternoon. Students would wait outside the Cascade Hall until their name was called. Then they would enter and face their Examiner who would ask them to perform spells or brew a potion. Once finished, they were free to leave.
OOC-You are free to write for any of the examiners. Core subjects take place on the first few days and electives on the last day. Have fun!
