Over the summer, before her and her father had gotten into the huge fight that had kept her out of the house and away from him most of the summer, they had gone video camera shopping. They had needed to find an old camcorder that did not run on batteries or have the same sort of wiring as they did nowadays. Her father had said anything like that would be effected negatively by the magic, so they needed the basics of the basics.
What they found was an extremely old piece of work that her father helped her restore and something she now cherished. The camera was a winder and used light as a way to burn the images onto the film as she wound it through the machine. Charms over the film helped capture the sound, but Reggie felt that even if those charms didn’t exist, she could totally make a killer silent movie. Just look at the original Dracula movie? That was serious even now! Actually, she felt it was scarier not having the sound. Her father had given her loads of film though and they also have the ability to film over already used rolls, just in case they messed up.
Of course, now she actually needed to figure out what she wanted to do, the type of movie, the script, and who would be willing to be a part of it all. She figured she could definitely count and Derry and Maddie since they were her best friends. Josephine was probably another good bet. She was around them more at least, so Reggie didn’t think she would say no, unless she didn’t want to be on film. Maybe she’d help her with costumes then? Reggie knew she liked crafts. It was idea at least. And David and seemed interested in the idea last year. So… that was at least four people interested. She could ask Addi and Hope to include her roommates, but Reggie felt weird around Addi ever since she sort of told her off last year and Hope was so proper that Reggie wasn’t sure she’d even want to.
Never hurt to ask though.
At least she knew for certain that she wanted to do a horror movie. Zombies probably, but Vampires and Werewolves were all the new rage. Still… she was pretty sure she wanted to do Zombies. She just needed to figure out if she wanted a love story in it too…
Reggie was sitting the Cascade Hall munching on carrots with her notebook in front of her and her seriously old looking camcorder beside her. She was lost in thought over the script when someone tapping on her startled her back into reality. Coughing as she nearly swallowed a half-eaten carrot, Reggie looked up with large hazel eyes at the culprit, “Holy cow, you nearly killed me!”
