Lesson Two for Sixth and Seventh Years by Professor Fawcett

He had not been at Sonora long enough yet to know names and faces, but the Advanced class was so tiny that John thought he almost could have started the session without taking any formal roll call. Once he finished doing so anyway, he shut the slim red paper folder he held and transferred it to the arm of the hand already holding his pointer. The folder had very little of note in it, but that was true of all the new folders he had started for this job. It would become a more useful item later, once he gathered more data.

"I'm Professor Fawcett," he informed them. "For the time being, I'll be your instructor in this class. The Deputy Headmistress and I have worked out a plan to where that, despite her absence, you'll be prepared for your RATS at the end of the year. I taught for nearly twenty years on and off before I retired ten years ago, so you're all in fairly competent hands." He saw no reason to mention his former position any further; if they couldn't reason out that thick glasses and full robes were more likely to be the attire of a Magisociologist than a Magizoologist, he wasn't going to hand them reasons to doubt his ability.

"Your lessons will continue to be in the Mirage Chamber," he told them. "If you'll follow me?"

OOC: Just follow the link to the Mirage Chamber, where your lesson awaits. There's no need to post anything here unless you just want to.
