Oh Teppenpaws! by Professor Williams
Genevieve Williams had thoroughly enjoyed her welcoming back feast. In fact, this year looked as though it could quite possibly be the best year yet. The summer had passed quite uneventfully considering the nervous tizzy the end of the last term had been for Genevieve. Planning her older sister's wedding was work enough, let alone actually having the wedding go smoothly. The work had not been in vain; her sister had looked stunning, and the entire affair was praised one of the social events of the season. Not only that, but in the process, Genevieve began dating a the violinist from the string quartet she had booked to play the wedding.So it was with great renewed vigor and vivacity that Genevieve greeted the new term. As Head of Teppenpaw House, Gen considered herself most fortunate. She constantly was glad of the calm, self-contented nature of most of her house members, especially compared to Marian Connell's intractable Pecaris. Now that was a lot she didn't want to get involved with! It was with these sentiments that Gen assembled the newly inducted members of her house after the feast had ended. There were matters to attend to, and most importantly, there were new first years to show the ropes to.
"Good Evening, all!" she smiled warmly at them, clasping her hands together, "And welcome to Teppenpaw! Now, if you will all follow me..."
Turning on her heel, Genevieve exited the Cascade Hall, the train of first years presumably following behind her. She led the new students down a myriad of staircases until she reached the precise one necessary for entrance into the Teppenpaw Commons. With a grin, she stopped the group and turned around. She pulled out her wand and with a small flick, tap shoes appeared, peeking out from underneathe her fashionable silken black robes.
"Now everyone, please pay close attention," she said, then performed the jig step with trained accuracy, "Did everyone catch that? If not, you can always talk to your fellow Teppenpaws or our Prefects, Sixth year Kaylie Brockert and Fifth year Lexi Stafford, they'll be sure to help. Now, follow me!"
Stepping through the opening, Genevieve entered the Teppenpaw Commons.
