Paul sat at one of the tables yawning slightly. It was still early and Paul pretty much wanted to go back to sleep. But once he was awake, he couldn't go back. It was still Midterm, still what felt liek forever away from his evil little sister. Paul looked at the marks she'd left in his wrist before she left.
Cissy had long nails, and they did some damage when she'd roughly grabbed his wrist and sank her nails into them. They didn't hurt too bad, nor did they really bleed. They were just there. But it didn't matter to Paul since she was at home and he was still at Sonora. Sleeping in a near empty common room, with free food and such. With better food than they had back home.
Not that Paul's mother was a bad cook. It was just they couldn't afford the good stuff. Especially since Paul's dad lost his job. Paul knew he'd have to work once he got home for the summer. Maybe in a broom shop... or robe shop. Something. He could be an apprentance and find a way to support his family. Maybe he'd even drop out of school to work and barely ever have to see his sister.
No, Paul wasn't that lucky. Not when his mother believed in good magical education.
Paul sighed lightly, blowing his growing black hair away from his face and out of his blue eyes. He'd probably have to cut it himself sooner or later. It was annoying him a lot, since he normally kept it shorter. But Paul never had the time to cut it. His eyes went down to the goat's milk in front of him (he was used to that kind) and he took another sip. Trying to think of a way to get out of school through work.\n\n
