It had been a last minute decision. In truth, if any other opportunity besides this had shown itself, any at all, she would have taken it. It seemed, however, that the general public was rather...discouraged to hire her due to some rather silly circumstances.
The offer remained unanswered on her desk for weeks. If it had grown a pair of legs and walked off, she really didn't think that she would be disappointed. But it was a favor. Well, really, she was the one being give the favor. She wouldn't have even received the offer if it hadn't been for some convincing on some other unlucky person's part.
Having connections seemed to sometimes have it's...disadvantages.
But she needed a job and as much as she disliked it, this was one. She lived and breathed Quidditch. There was just one tiny little problem that dampened the whole deal...
The students. The runny-nosed, ankle-biting midgits.
With a huff, Amy entered the entrance hall, looking more the part of a student than a professor. With a barely registered nod, she ended the spell, watching with satisfaction as her trunk landed on the floor with a loud thunk.
Standing akimbo, she searched the room for an authoritative figure that might possibly point her in the general direction. Her heavy footed boot tapped impatiently on the floor as she rolled a rather large wad of gum between her front teeth.
Rolling her eyes impatiently, she deserted her trunk and entered what she supposed to be the dining hall. Flinging the doors open, she paused immediately upon realizing that she'd interrupted a meal. Feeling several eyes upon her, she arched an eyebrow before smiling winningly at them.
She remained still for a moment, sizing up everything. The room, the students, the professors…
Chomping obnoxiously on her gum, she moved further into the hall. She could tell that people were taking her in, sizing her up. The gossip surrounding her little…controversy was widely known. Her face was a familiar one.
“So, uh, sorry I’m late. Amy Fox at your service, Quidditch...coach extraordinaire.” \n\n
